I was dreaming. Whenever I'm dreaming, I always know, I'm a lucid dreamer. I could probably wake up if I wanted to, but this dream made me feel warm and safe, I didn't want to wake up.
I dreamed of Hunter. It was hard not to. Every time I tried to forget his light brown hair, or his silly personality, memories of me and him just kept flooding back. This time was different though, I was dreaming of something that I needed to make happen. We were at a fair and we were riding all of the rides, some of which he had to force me to go on because "I didn't want to die yet." It was nighttime now and they had turned all of the lights on. It was so beautiful. He dragged to a Ferris wheel, whose sides lit up with white lights. The ride started and I clung to Hunter's arm because of my intense fear of heights. The whole way to the top of the Ferris wheel, he kept laughing at my reaction as the ground got further away. I dug my nails into his arm, making him yelp in pain and putting a grin on my face.
We were at the top of the wheel now, and the conductor stopped the ride to let other people on. He looked so handsome as the white lights shone on his face. He suddenly reached down and planted a loving kiss on my lips. I felt adrenaline pumping through my veins, but not just from the height. I felt all of the cells in my body relax, as if they had been waiting for this.
That feeling was enough to bring me back. I found that I was in a hospital bed. I felt the wetness of my hand and when I looked down, I saw Hunter holding my hand, crying. "I need you." He whispered.
I hesitated for a second before whispering back, "I need you too."
I know, super short chapter for a super long wait. But they admitted their feelings for each other! YAY!
