Question: Do you guys text your teachers? Cause I've heard that people do that.
Tyler's POV:
I hear the sounds of the night. Cars driving on the street. Bugs buzzing through my open window. The faint conversation between Issac and Alex in the next room. Or Alexandra. Whatever. I stared up at my ceiling, wide awake as I thought about the newly found information. After Alex told me the truth, she ran up to her room and locked herself there all night. Issac went up there as well and is staying the night. I believe that he's a good guy. I mean he's Alex's best friend and Alex has always had good judgement.I rolled onto my side so I could look out the window. I get why she lied to me all this time. She was unsure. She didn't know that she could trust me, which was understandable. But as soon as she was sure that I was trustworthy, she spilled her secrets.
I need her with me right now. I won't be able to sleep until I can hold her. The things that she told me this afternoon really shook me up. But not in a bad, I don't think. It's made me want to protect her more. I just want to hug her and physically put myself between her and her problems. She didn't murder that woman. Alex wouldn't hurt a fly unless it hurt her first.
When I felt like I couldn't hold out any longer, I rolled over to the other side of my bed and reached for my phone. Once I felt the cold screen, I yanked out the charger and turned it on. The screen turned a bright white that hurt my eyes. Despite her just being a few yards away, I called Alex's phone. I heard the quiet chatter between Alex and Issac stop as her phone rang. I could envision them both simply staring at the phone in shock and nearly snorted. Finally she picked up.
"Tyler?" she said, the surprise in her voice clear as day.
"Hey." God, why didn't I plan this out beforehand?
"I thought you were asleep." It was almost a question.
"I couldn't sleep." I said, before adding in a murmur, "Not after this afternoon."
"Yeah me either." My eyes widened in surprise as I realized that she heard the last part. It threw me off, which is probably why I actually asked what I wanted to ask her from the start.
"Can you come to my room?" I internally face palmed at my idiocy. When I didn't hear her respond immediately I thought that I went to far. I was about to backpedal when she answered.
"Yeah. Sure." She ended the call and I could hear shuffling outside my bedroom door. Then I sat up as the door slowly opened and she poked her head in. When she saw my looking at her she sat on the floor in front of my bed at looked at me questioningly.
I sighed then scooted over on my bed and patted the space next to me. She understood and planted herself there, facing me. I didn't know how to tell her what I needed her to know. I just pulled her down onto the bed and faced her away from me, pulling her back tightly to my chest. I just held her there, my arms around her waist. Then, suddenly, her laugh fills the quiet room. It's sounds so beautiful and it renders me speechless every time.
I finally find my voice and start laughing myself. "What?"
"I'm not that kind of girl, Tyler. So if you have plans other than to hold me, I suggest you cancel them." She said between laughs. I barked out a laugh at that. Not because the idea was ridiculous, because it wasn't, but because the thought actually crossed my mind as I held her close to me. Hence the faint shade of pink my cheeks have turned to.
"Don't worry basketball girl, I'm saving those plans for another day." I said seductively. Now it was her turn to blush. I could feel the heat radiating off of her as the blush made its way to her cheeks, which was not helping my situation. The though of us together like that emerged a lot of really strong emotions in me, but it mostly made me nervous. It isn't that I've never been with other girls before because I have, a lot of other girl actually. But Alex was different. She was special. And she was mine. Or was going to be mine at some point.
—
I woke to the cold morning and began feeling around the bed for Alex, missing her warmth. When I couldn't find her, my eyes shot open and my mind was on alert. I ran around the house, frantically searching for her. In the meantime my mind was assuming the worst. What if she was taken away by the police while I was sleeping? What if she took a walk and someone recognized her?
Suddenly I heard a beautiful voice singing in the kitchen. I decided to go downstairs and investigate. Not knowing what to expect, I went down the stairs with caution. What I saw instantly spread warmth through my cold body. I was Alex dancing around the kitchen singing Symphony by Clean Bandit. She was hitting each note perfectly and effortlessly. She was wearing a pair of pajama shorts and a baggy long sleeved t-shirt. Her brown wavy hair was loose and was flailing around as she danced.
After I was finished admiring her like the creep I am, I took out my phone and began recording her. She looked so beautiful and content as she sang, just like she did when she played basketball. She was having fun, which is all I wanted for her.
As I watched her I thought about things that we could possibly do together today. After hearing the truth yesterday, I never wanted her out of my sight.
We haven't spent a lot of time together recently, mostly because of homework and stupid projects from school. But now it was the weekend and I plan on spending as much time with her as I possibly could. That included sleeping with her. But not like that, you creep.
I heard a gasp come from Alex and instantly turned in her direction. She was looking at my phone with a shocked expression, her mouth still agape. She then began glaring at me.
"Delete that. Right now." I ended the video, but didn't make any move to delete it. She took a step towards me as I took a step away from her. Pretty soon we ended up just circling around the island in the middle of the kitchen. I suddenly bolted up the stairs and Alex soon followed behind me. I ran into my room and climb on top of the bed, holding my arm up. I knew that she wasn't tall enough to reach the phone in my hand. She burst into the room seconds after I did. She searched frantically around for the phone. When she noticed it in my hand, she climbed up on the bed with me and began to reach for it, causing her body to press up against mine. She must've noticed this too began she suddenly stopped reaching, but her arm stayed up and circled my wrist.
We stayed like that, getting lost into each other's eyes, for who knows how long. And I swear, this couldn't feel more perfect. Or so I thought, because after that the most magical thing happened.
Hey guys! I know my updates have been a bit slower lately and I honestly have no excuse for that. IM REALLY SORRY!!! But anyways, how'd you like this chapter? What do you think happened?
