"Sit still!" Rachel shrieked into my ear, making me cringe away from the noise in pain.
"I would if you'd stop pulling out my hair!" She gave it a forceful tug which lurched my head back and made me send a glare towards Rachel. If looks could kill, she'd be six feet under by now. I'm starting to think that I might've made a mistake by making her my maid of honor.
"I wouldn't be pulling so hard if it wasn't so knotted!" She countered.
"You're the one that knotted it! Last night, when you were trying to figure out a hairstyle for me!" She opened her mouth again but then closed it and sent me a sheepish smile through the mirror in front of me. "That's what I thought." I sent her another glare, but didn't move beyond that. Maybe if I stayed still, it would hurt less. I was proven wrong time and time again every time she ran the brush through my hair. I had already put on the dress, all that was left was hair and makeup and neither should take too long. I was just pinning my hair back to have a half up half down style with my natural waves. I told Rachel to do a natural look with the makeup which she probably wouldn't obey to.
Rachel had just finished putting the two pins in place when we heard a knock on the door. I looked back towards Rachel with a small chuckle. "It's probably Angie and Maddy." She nodded at me and took this time to get dressed. I walked to the door, which was a hassle considering the dress went to the floor, and unlocked it. A blindfold Tyler stumbled into the room causing me and Rachel to simultaneously let out a yelp. I looked behind Tyler at Angie and Maddy and narrowed my eyes at them.
"What is he doing here?" Rachel demanded. They jumped back slightly, which was understandable. If you had seen Rachel these past few weeks, you'd think that she was the one getting married instead of me.
Maddy stepped into the room and faced me, completely discarding a pissed off looking Rachel. "Hunter said that Tyler kept asking for you. We ignored it until it became an inconvenience for the boys. Please talk to him?" She looked at me pleadingly.
I sighed out of exhaustion and looked to the ceiling, as though it had all the answers. I was incredibly stressed and I'm pretty sure that I had more than one knot in my neck. Maybe a couple minutes with Tyler would stop the sweating on my palms. "Alright, everyone out." They listened, even Tyler and started to file out the room quickly. I grabbed his shoulder before he could get past the doorway. "Not you." I whispered in his ear. I closed and locked the door behind Rachel, the last person to file out of the room. I turned back to Tyler and sat him down in Angie's chair. I sat back down in my chair and rested my forearms against my knees. "So..."
"So..." He copied with a chuckle, making my heartbeat quicken.
"We're getting married."
"Yep." Another chuckle.
"So, you still like me right?" I asked with the slight tilt of my head even though he couldn't see me.
He barked out a deep laugh. "Are you really asking me that on our wedding day?"
"Yes?"
He got out of his seat, despite the fact that he could see, and starting feeling around. I was quick to my put my arms in his to hopefully ground him. He sighed and ran his left hand up and down my arm as his right hand cupped my left cheek, sending warmth throughout my whole body. His touch was lava, and I would never stop loving his burns.
He leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to my lips and I could feel my heart thumping wildly in my chest. Even after six years of these kisses, my heart still hasn't gotten used to them. I hope it never does.
My fingers wound around his neck out of habit and remained there even after he pulled away. "Does that answer you're question?" He asked, a smile playing on his lips.
