Tyler's POV:

I caught Pilsen's glare and glared back until he looked away, giving up. But I knew him all too well, we're best friends. I know he won't let Alex go so easily. Neither will I.

Gym class consisted of watching Alex do her amazing gymnastics tricks, which I actually preferred to anything else that we could be doing in that class. When the bell rang, signaling the end of fourth period, I began chuckling at the relieved expression on Alex's face. I could tell she was tired when she leaned over, putting her hands on her knees, and breathing heavily. Her forehead glistened with sweat and her baby hairs stuck to her face. Yet, somehow, she still managed to look breathtaking. It wasn't fair.

I was getting into some deep trouble by pursuing Alex. Hunter was my best friend, and I didn't want to do anything that would make him feel betrayed. For example, being the reason that his girlfriend cheats on him would cause him to feel betrayed, and I don't want that. What I do want, is for Alex to fall for me, break up with Hunter and be my girlfriend. Hunter wouldn't hate me for that. There was a lot of planning that had to go into this, but she's worth it. Alex is worth it.

Alex's POV:

I decided to go home with Maddy and Angie just as school let out. They texted me a few minutes and asked me about it. I didn't want to deal with Hunter's questions, at least not today. I got in the back of Maddy's Aston Martin One-77, coming to the conclusion that Maddy's family was loaded.

"Whoa." I said as I examined the interior of the car. The seats were made of black leather that felt smooth under my hand.

"I know, her family's got some serious money. You'll see when we get to her house." Angie said with a smile. She was proud to be Maddy's best friend. There was a silence that fell after that comment, and it was uncomfortable. I shifted in my seat and Maddy took that as an opportunity to ask about the one topic I didn't want to talk about.

"So... Tyler." Maddy said. The tips of her mouth curled upward.

"What about him?" I was trying to play dumb. I should've known better. Despite not knowing Maddy and Angie for long, I already knew that they weren't airheads.

"Hunter and Tyler are both really dreamy, but as your new friend I have to advise you to not cheat on Hunter with Tyler. Tyler's the school's bad boy. Be careful." My face turned red with embarrassment. Where had she gotten that from? Is that how she thought of me?

"What!?" I exclaimed. "I'm not cheating on Hunter! I don't even like Tyler." I muttered the last part and the other two in the car burst out laughing.

"Yea" Angie said, barely holding in giggles "and I'm not obsessed with Agatha Christie." Angie has a thing for Agatha Christie books, she loves them. You'll never see her without one. I'm pretty sure she has every book ever written by her. Angie loves trying to identify the killer in every single one of those books and she loves it when she's wrong. The girls continued laughing like hyenas as Maddy, pulled up to an open gate that led to her house. I think mansion would be more accurate.

The entire house was white, while the gate was gold, giving a nice contrast. There were about twenty white steps leading up to the front door of the house, with white pillars on either side of it. The house very closely resembled the white house in Washington DC, except this house was a bit bigger, I think.

Maddy and Angie walked into the house, throwing their backpacks on the floor by the door and rushing upstairs. I followed them, revealing a big room with teal walls. There was a king sized bed, across from it, a humungous bookshelf that was filled with books. On one side of this bookshelf was a glass desk, probably for schoolwork. On the other side of the bookshelf was a closet with two white doors, which probably held triple the amount of clothes that I owned.

The other girls noticed my look of awe as I examined the room closely, taking in every detail. They began laughing silently, but not silent enough for me not to notice. I plopped down on the bed next to the other girls and hit them both on the head with a pillow, messing up their hair.

--

We had been talking for a while, laughing mostly, when we all heard the doorbell ring.

"I'll get it." I said. My stomach needed a break from all the laughing that we had done. I walked down the steps and opened the door to find two policemen staring at me.

Hey guys! I know I sent out an author's not about this but, yes, I finally found a better name for the story right now. "My little cabbage" was just a temporary name until I found one that suited the story "The bad boy and the basketball girl." What do you guys think? I'm also gonna be changing the summary soon, so don't be alarmed if you see that it's different. And don't worry, it's still the same story line I promise. I will be changing the name and summary by the end of the book as well. How'd you guys like this chapter? Why do you think the policemen are here? Did they find her? Is she going to jail? Only time will tell. *evil laugh*
