Letter Eight

Our second date went much smoother than our first, though somehow you managed to get even messier. How? I'm not sure even to this day. I've never seen anyone eat like you do, Tat. But I swear that's one of the reasons that made me fall in love with you. You weren't afraid to be yourself even if it meant covering yourself in spaghetti sauce on a second date.

I wanted to kiss you then too. Partly because I thought that you looked beautiful even then, but mostly because I thought it'd be a nicer kiss than our last. You wouldn't let me though. You told me you weren't that kind of girl.

I told you that I had kissed you on our date before, and you gave me another smile. You said that I took you by surprise so it didn't count.

It made me want to kiss you even more. You were singing a song to my heart, one that was steadily making it fall for you with every word you uttered.

But like every other song, our song ended. And we-I didn't have it in me to hit repeat.
