Six months into our relationship, you begged me to go see a musical with you. I told you that sounded like the worst way that I could spend a Friday night. But you knew that when you gave me a big smile and said please, I caved.
The title of the musical was Wild Nights in September Heights and even to this very day, it's still one of the most beautiful things I have ever experienced.
Do you know what my favorite scene of that entire musical was?
It was when Amy sat on in the gazebo and Marcus came in, asking her what she was doing out in the cold. It was after she found out Marcus had cheated on her, you remember don't you, Tatiana. Do you remember what she said to him when he sat next to her?
She told him that sitting outside during the cold September night felt warmer than being near him. Because he sucked all the warmth from her body when he looked at her with those cold eyes of his.
Is that how you feel about me now, Tat?
Truth: I went home and cried later that night. Because I couldn't understand why Marcus put his addiction over his love for Amy. They had the whole world in the palm of their hands and Marcus did everything he could to throw it away.
I guess I understand Marcus a little more now.

[a/n]: From this point on, there will be aspects of my past relationships that will inspire events in the story. Also, Wild Nights in September Heights was a story idea that I have been debating on whether or not to go deeper into, and I decided to just plug it into this story instead. Though I'm still on the fence about whether or not I should write a full-length story on it or should I let it rest in this story. I'd like your thoughts if you don't mind sharing them.
