I met your mom completely by accident. I was scared shitless that day. I could've sworn you could see my hands shake when I gave her what I hoped to be a million dollar smile. Was it as convincing as I had hoped it'd be?

We had only been dating two months and I wasn't ready for that. I wanted to look my absolute best when I met her. I wanted to show her that I wasn't just another scum boy who would leave her daughter like your dad did. I wanted to show her that I was in this for the long run.

I guess it's a good thing that I met her on accident. I left you just like your dad did.

I was just another scum boy.

And I wasn't in it for the long run. Forever didn't mean as long as we thought it would.
