TRIGGER WARNING
Anxiety
How can I describe it
How can I put into words
For society to understand
It falls through their hands
Like sand.Anxiety is like,
not knowing how to swim,
You can't breath and the
Feeling tingles your fingertips
You beg to break free as chlorine
Fills your lungs, yet you can'tAnxiety is like,
that split second
When you wake up cause it
Felt like you were free falling,
You suddenly are afraid to close
Your eyes again, making up dreams
Inside your head.Anxiety is like,
when you almost get hit
By a car, but its on repeat everyday
Your body is frozen, tense all day
waiting for that car to almost
kill youAnxiety is like,
Being late for class, and that
Slight embarresment you feel
But you already know you'll be late
Again and that bubbling feeling
Appears in your skinAnxiety is like
Covering every inch of your body
At night, because your afriad
Of demons pulling you in too
Deep, and no matter how many times
You tell yourself they aren't real
Your still scaredAnxiety is like
Standing infront of the class
Your palms start to sweat, your
words become a jumbled mess
As you attempt to speak but
the laughter around you sends
That ripple through your skinAnxiety is like,
When you argue with anybody
And in your mind your relliving
Every bad moment of your life
remembering the bad side of the coin
Trying to figure out what you did wrong
Even when they are over itAnxiety is like
that tiny feeling you get when you
Meet new people, you feel uncomfortable
But multiply that times a hundred
While you analyze everything you say
even if you know at home you'll think it over
Again and convince yourself
They hate youAnxiety is like,
Not being able to stand in line
Holding the things you need
As you constantly as yourself
If you need them, as people stare
You put them back and leave the store
Unable to do it once againAnxiety is like,
Goosebumbs on the skin
Shivering from the uncomfortable
Feeling of the cold outside
Except they are always thereAnxiety is real,
People battle it everyday
Yet we're made to belief
It's make belief
In our heads, lies leaving our lipsForced to pop pills to hide
The emotions we feel, forced
To become a robot of no emotion
Anxiety is real, it kills, it feeds
Anxiety is a monsterLatched onto your skin,
Sucking out your blood
Torturing your mind without
A way to escspe and it happens
