Friendships come
Friendships go
Moments Pass
Time goes slow
Yesterday felt like forever
Today feels empty
Friends become strangers
Promises become lies
The people who said they cared
Now don't shed a tear, they
begin to fade into dust
As memories become crust
On the edges of our brain
Cracking away causing us pain
Of the last moment we knew them
As people who'd be there forever
Heartbroken sadness, taking over
Messages became empty
Times became tougher
Promises became destructive words
That didn't actually mean anything
Happiness became bleak, empty
And sad
Closing your eyes and wishing
For the moment that you felt happy
That you laughed so hard it hurt
That you knew you'd be there again
Yet you look in the mirror
And realize it's changing
Life and its big fucking game
Erasing the moments we treasure
Erasing the people we need
Friends become memories
They become strangers we walk by
There was one day we realized
This was the last time, it'd ever be the same
That night you cried, thick wet
Tears of pain, as you realized it was over
Everything became empty, less
Believable and happy
What do you do when you loose
Somebody you thought you'd always have, you cry or do something
Yet sometimes fate decided
You don't need anybody at all
Cause maybe you just weren't meant
To have anybody at all.
