Mr.Not-So-Perfect

Chapter 5

"What the HELL?!", Lucy shouted.

I stared at her bewildered. I can't believe my luck. It feels like universe is plotting something against me.

If I think she was furious before, then it was nothing compared to her expression now, after noticing that the person responsible for this mess is me. She looked like, she is ready to kill somebody or in this case, more precisely me.

"I'm so so-", I started to apologize but she did not let me.

"STOP IT! Don't even dare to utter a word. Save this stupid innocent act to fool somebody else, not me. What is your problem with me anyway? Or are you insane?", she shouted at me and raised her hand.

I closed my eyes anticipating the pain, but surprisingly I did not feel anything. I opened my eyes to see Evan's back. He was standing in front of me, blocking me from the she devil's wrath.

"Don't you dare to touch her. If you do, I'm sure you are not gonna like the consequences", Evan said in a low but cold voice that gave Goosebumps. At that moment I was thankful that I was not in the receiving end of his cold glare.

In an instant Ravvs was by my side and embraced me while stroking my hair in an attempt to calm me down.

"What are you, her bodyguard?", Lucy countered.

"No! Unlike you she has friends, who are ready to do anything for her", Evan spat at her.

Her face reddened due to anger and shame.

"YOU", she pointed her finger towards me, "are not gonna get out of this easily. You will pay for this and I'll make sure of it. You will regret ever meeting me. I'll make your life hell", she threatened and stormed out of cafeteria.

"Come on Aadhya. Let's go", Evan's put a hand on my shoulder and took out of cafeteria, with Ravvs behind us carrying our stuff.

Once we reached a secluded corner Ravvs started apologizing.

"I'm so sorry Aadhya. I'm really sorry. This is all my fault. Every time you get into time you get into trouble because of me. I'm such a trouble maker", she spoke while holding my hands with tears in her eyes.

I could not see my friend like this. Immediately I hugged her and started consoling her in the same way like she did to me many times.

"It's not your fault. In fact, nobody is at fault here except my stupid luck. You can't take blame for something you are not responsible. You can't control things. You can't control who you meet every day, who you become acquaintances with."

"No Aadhya, if I hadn't pushed you that day or today, these things with Lucy wouldn't have happened. It's entirely my fault", she said with guilt.

"Can you both decide whose fault it is a bit faster? We have class in about five min and also, I would like to thank that person", Evan interrupted our blaming contest.

"What?", we both shouted in unison.

"You are not getting this, are you? Actually, because of all this melodrama, I've become pretty popular. Firstly, all girls were swooned because of my act there. Secondly, I got to play the role of your 'Knight in shining armour'", Evan explained to us while posing like a superhero.

"Oh my 'Knight in shining armour' let me thank you for your bravery", Ravvs spoke and moved towards Evan and kicked his foot.

"Ouch! What was that for?", Evan exclaimed with pain.

"You know, it's just my way of thanking my oh-so-great-knight-in-shining-armour", she replied playfully.

"I swear you both fight like an old couple", I said with amusement.
