"Come on, hurry up""If you won't help then at least stop shouting at me for every 5 seconds. Moreover, it is your fault we are late", I retorted while continuing my work.
"Well, excuse me for being a perfectionist", Cherry said with a glare.
"Ok, you are excused", I smirked.
Since, the party which Cherry's uncle was organizing was today, she decided to take the responsibility to take care of the arrangements and I decided to help her but being a perfectionist it took us double the time for everything to be arranged properly, hence the reason we are late for the party.
After everything as she expected we started getting ready.
"Shut up and hurry up, in five minutes I'll drag you down no matter which state you are in", she threatened.
Not wanting to know the seriousness of her threat, I quickly finished getting ready.
"Done, let's go"
"About time", she muttered and got up to leave.
As we got down the hallway where the party arrangements were done I noticed it was packed with people already. I looked around once more admiring the hall lit up with white and gold lights enhancing the gold and red colored decorations. The tables were covered with white cloth and decorated with roses. All in all it was beautiful and satisfactory.
I turned my head to look at my friend beside me also admiring our work, looking like a goddess in her gold strapless mermaid style dress showcasing her perfect figure. Her dress has a sweetheart neckline and sequins all over the dress. She tied her hair in an elegant but stylish bun. She kept her makeup to minimum was beautiful to say the least. I looked at my attire which was completely opposite to her. Since I regularly go for plaid colors, Cherry convinced me to dress in a bolder way. So I wore a bright red off-shoulder floor length gown. It hugged my upper part till my waist and then puffed out a little. The only similarity between Cherry and I is that we both are wearing bright red lipstick.
"Do you think it's good", she asked me nervously looking around the hall.
"Are you kidding me? It's beautiful", I told the truth giving her a reassuring smile.
"Alright, let's rock this party", she said with a bright smile and dragged me down
We quickly met all our employees, business partners and lot more people. By the time the introductions are done my cheeks ached because of all the fake smiles and enthusiasm I showed. Unlike me Cherry is enjoying this party to the fullest. Well it may be because she is not searching for certain someone since we came.
I was sitting and looking around when suddenly someone whispered in my ear.
"Looking for someone", I gasped at the sudden sound but able to control my heart beat without anyone noticing.
"You scared me idiot", I slapped his shoulder while he was busy laughing at my expense.
"If you don't stop laughing I will leave", I threatened and it worked.
"You are so easily scared. I missed you", he said after sobering up but still a ghost smile is residing on his lips.
Hearing this reminded me of yesterday's events which led to me following him and Mr.Atharva in a car. I still did not tell this to anybody, not even Cherry because I first wanted to ask him about it to avoid unnecessary drama.
"Aadhya, where are you lost?", Riddanth's voice brought me out of my thoughts. Deciding now is the good time to confront him I was about to ask him but Cherry's voice interrupted me.
