Mr.Not-So-Perfect

Chapter 23

"What?"

"Yeah, do you know why?, Rishitha asked.

"I didn't even know that he's in India until now", I responded.

"I thought so but then decided to ask any way", she said.

"How do you know that he's in India?", I asked.

"I saw him at the mall today but he did not see me. He was with some girl", she mused.

Shailaja. Immediately my brain responded.

"Oh, okay. So, how are you?", I asked in an attempt to divert the topic.

"I just told you that I saw Advay with a girl in India and you are asking how am i?", she asked credulously.

"Yeah, so?"

"Why are you acting like you don't care?", she asked or more like accused.

"Beacause, I don't", I lied.

"You are lying", she stated.

"No, I'm not"

"Yes, you are. You know, it's okay to let out feelings sometimes", she said with a soft voice.

"Yeah I know. But now is not the time. Can we please forget about it", I pleaded.

After that we talked about everything and I did same too. I told her about the hiking and surprisingly enough I talked about Riddanth, too, which proved to be a mistake because just like Ravvs she started teasing but unlike Ravvs, she did it to just make me divert my attention from Advay.

After I talked with her, my mind swirled with thoughts of Advay.

Why is he in India?

I know that Advay is far from impulsive and will only do something like this only when it is important.

Is this about Shailaja?

Thankfully, a knock on my door made me come out of my stupid thoughts.

Ravvs came inside and settled beside me.

"What are you doing?", she asked, making herself comfortable.

"Just thinking about today's events", I said partial truth.

"Yeah, especially moments with Riddanth", she said wiggling her eyebrows in a weird way. I laughed.

"Please don't ever do that", I said laughing. She laughed along with me but after sometime suddenly stopped.

"But seriously, do you like him. I think he likes you", she said with a serious expression.

"I don't know Ravvs. Please let's not talk about this right now", I pleaded. Maybe my expression showed how desperate I am to avoid this topic, she understood and did not push me. I am thankful for that.

We talked about the hike, Evan and his friends and even about Henry. We looked at today's pictures and made fun of our expressions and poses. All in all, she diverted my mind without even knowing she did it. Soon after, she drifted into sleep beside me. I tried to sleep but sleep did not seen to come anywhere near me. I rolled around for one hour but still couldn't sleep.

I took my phone and saw the pictures once again. After looking at those at pictures, I remembered about Riddanth and his actions for the past weeks. He was really sweet to me, nobody could deny that.

I wonder what he's doing right now.

Before I over analyze things and back out, I quickly texted a simple 'Hi'.
