Chapter 30

It's been 76 hours 39 minutes since I'm home and the one thing I realized is, I miss him. I miss him so much.

After reaching the airport Cherry and I parted our ways. She went to her grand parents' house but promised to meet me soon. My dad and mom were so ecstatic that I finally came back. I was happy, too. But I felt like something was missing and soon I found out that it was due to Riddanth. I missed him.

Being best friends for more than two years and practically living together until now, he became my daily routine. He became an important part of the life, like a habit, even though he wasn't in it for a very long time. The thought of being away from him made me realize this.

Cherry, without wasting any time joined her parent's business and was busy with it. We met once, but called each other daily. I was also thinking of joining the company.

So, I discussed with my dad about it and he said he couldn't be happier. He asked me to take rest for a week before I take responsibilities and I agreed. I took rest and spent my time with my parents but mostly my time consisted of goofing around with my little sis, like we used to. Sitting at home, not doing anything is easier said than done.

"What are you thinking about?", my mom asked coming into my room.

"Nothing, just bored", I shrugged.

"Good, now get up and get ready", she ordered.

"For what?", I asked looking confused.

"Shopping, I need to buy some things and I want you to come with me", she said and left the room.

I shrugged and got ready because I had nothing better to do. I wore a pair of blue jeans with a white floral top.

We spent three hours in the mall and my legs are killing from walking so much. After my constant bickering and pleading, my mother finally agreed to return home. I got a call from my father, while we were walking for the driver to come pick us up.

"Aadhya beta, where are you?", greeted my father as soon as I answered.

"I'm at the mall with mom", I answered.

"Did you drive there?"

"No"

"Oh, good. I need you to go the office immediately"

"Why dad? What happened?", I looked at my mom who is tensed after listening to my words but kept quiet.

"There is an important meeting today but I'm with a client, so I can't attend the meeting and Rishitha is with me, too. The meeting requires the presence at least one of us and I want you there. The driver will be there in five minutes", he explained.

"But dad, I don't know what the meeting is about. What if I mess it up?", I asked.

"Don't worry, my secretary is already there and he will explain it to you and he will take care of everything. I just want you to be there, that's it. Please", he said.

"Okay, dad", I accepted and hung up the phone. I explained everything to my mother and she relaxed.

Exactly four minutes after my mother left, I saw my dad's car and got into it. It's only after I sat inside I realized that what I was wearing is not appropriate for a meeting and I couldn't just barge into it with my attire.

"Shit, shit, shit", I muttered under my breath. I don't have time to go to my house and change.

I then realized that Cherry's office is near to father's office and I know for sure that she would keep an extra pair of dress with her all the time. It is her habit and when I asked about it, "You never know what happens", was her answer. I just have to hope that she is in not busy. I called her.
