"WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING??"

I laughed, harder.

"Ouch", I shouted when Cherry hit me on my head.

"Don't you understand the gravity of the situation. I'm giving you my Riddanth to you and you are laughing. Are you out of your mind?", she shouted with a scowl.

I laughed again. So, much that my stomach started aching.

"I swear to god Aadhya, I will kill you if don't stop laughing and start explaining the reason behind your insane behavior", she threatened.

Not wanting die in the hands of my best friend, I controlled my laughter.

"Okay, okay", I giggled.

"What did you say? You are giving me your Riddanth. You know what, I'm giving you my Riddanth", I said with a smile.

"What do you mean?", she raised her brows in confusion.

"You just told me that Riddanth came into my life just so he could get his revenge, right?" She nodded.

"So, that means Riddanth proposed to me to get revenge on Advay but not because he loves me", I explained.

"Yeah, I got that part. But what does that have to do with you laughing like mad-drunk", she asked.

"First, I did not laugh like a mad-drunk. Second, that means we have a chance to stop our wedding, get him to tell the truth and get you both to marry", I winked at her.

"Okay, the last part is not at all needed but other than that it sounds like a plan", she looked away to cover her blush.

"What? Of course, it is needed. In fact, it is the most important of them all", I teased.

"Stop ma-", we were interrupted by a ring tone.

Riddanth was calling me.

"Hey, where are you? I've been looking for you", he asked.

"I'm uh-. I just needed some air", I lamely answered.

"Oh, okay. Come soon. All are waiting for you", he said, and I replied with an okay.

"So, what now?", Cherry asked me with a worried expression as soon as I cut the call.

"We'll think of something but for now I have to leave", I said and walked towards the venue with a newfound a confidence.

Soon I found Riddanth and he introduced me to some business clients of his'.

After meeting many people and faking enthusiasm for about an hour, Riddanth and I were left along.

"So, I wanted you to ask something", he nervously said.

"What?" He's making me nervous. Did he listen to Cherry and I's conversation? Please, ask anything but that.

"Are you free tomorrow?"

"Y-yes, why?"

"Will you go on a date with me tomorrow?"

"What?" He was nervous to ask that?

"I-it's okay if you don't want to. I can understand. This is all so sudden fo-", I cut him off.

"Yes, I will go out with you", I answered.

"Oh, thanks. I was worried you'd say no", he hugged me.

"Okay, so where do you want to take me?"

"That's for me to know. Just be ready by six in the evening", he said and left me wondering to myself about the mistakes I've been doing lately.

I mean I did not think the possibility where Riddanth genuinely likes me. What if he is really in love with me and I'm just hurting him by leading him to believe something which can never happen?
