You know, there is an idiom in Telugu, my mother tongue, "Mundu Nuyyi, Venkala Goyyi" – which means, if you move forward you'll fall into a well and if you move backward you'll fall into a ditch. Either ways it is dangerous and there is no way to escape it.

No other sentence can describe my situation better than that idiom.

If I accept to learn how to skate from Advay, I'm sure that would result with me hurting. If I don't, then I have to humiliate myself in public.

Either way, I'm doomed. Now I have to choose an option which results in less painful compared to other.

"What is your problem with him", Ravvs asked with impatience.

After my stupid outburst about Advay teaching me how to skate, Ravvs excused us from them and dragged me to the washroom.

"Depends on which 'him' you are talking about", I responded.

"Don't try to act smart. You know I'm talking about Advay", she said.

"I don't have any problem with anyone but I don't want him to teach me. I just don't have a good feeling about it", I reasoned.

"Stop making excuses Aadhya. Do you know how important it is for you to win the competition? Not only you, but also for me and Evan. You have to win it. For that to happen there is only one way-Advay. He is only hope we have right now", Ravvs pleaded.

"Ravvs, how do we even know that he is a good skater? I mean, we don't know anything about him", I stated.

"You are right. We don't know but Evan does and I trust Evan enough to not let anyone near us, if he thinks they are not good enough", she explained in a motherly tone.

"I know, but-", I tried to explain but she cut me off.

"Please Aadhya, if not for you, do this for me. I have to become their slave if you don't win this", she said.

Yeah, I'm being selfish. I forgot that Ravvs is also involved in this mess as much as I am. Better to hurt one person rather than two. I don't care that I will be the person to get hurt if it means protecting my friends.

"Okay, fine", I said with a defeated tone.

"Yay", she squealed and hugged me, without having a clue of what she made me sign up for.

"Aadhya, what's happening?" Ravvs asked me.

"What do you mean", I was confused.

"I know something is bothering you. Do you want to talk about it", she said with concern.

"Nothing is bothering me why are you asking", I asked.

"I don't know. Since lunch, you are kind of upset and you did not speak to me, did not scold me even if I was disturbing you during class. So, I figured that you are worried about something. Are you going to tell me what it is about", she explained.

What Ravvs is talking about my behavior is true, after I agreed to learn how to skate from Advay. I can't help but to wonder how many things could go wrong, how many ways I can be humiliated and importantly, what would Ravvs and Evan think about me, once they come to know about my past with Advay. I can't decide whether to tell all about my past or to keep them in the dark a little longer. Eventually, I decided that things will come out, when they ought to be.

"Nothing I'm just worried about the competition. You know that there's only 10 days left for the competition and I did not even start yet", I answered. Yes, I'm worried about the competition but right now it has the least priority in my list of worries.
