"Don't you think it's kind of fishy"

"What do you mean", Cherry looked up from her laptop and stared at me.

"Think about it. A small company like Atharva group of industries, which nobody ever heard of, suddenly comes to the top position. Nobody knows where this company came from. How come this company always knew what others were planning, especially AR group of industries, and come up with much more advanced strategies. There is nothing we could find about it. We tried to dig deeper into this for the past week but every time we met with a dead end. I think we are missing the main point in this and I'd like to find out what it is", I explained thinking of all the things we did to find anything about that company.

"Except this creepy old man's picture", Cherry said turning my laptop towards her.

"Yeah, I still can't believe that he is the CEO", I frowned.

"Enough with this now, I'm hungry and look there's 50% off in Swiggy", she said pointing a notification on my laptop.

My eyes hovered over a notification but not the one Cherry was talking about. A smile graced my lips.

"Yeah, let's go", I said while getting up.

"But I'm hungry and I cannot wo-, wait, did you just agree?", she asked looking at me like I have grown a pair of horns.

"Yes", I grinned mischievously.

"Okay, what do you want?", Cherry asked looking with a 'cut-the-act' look.

"Look at the notification ", I said nodding my head towards it. She looked at it and then raised her eyebrows.

"Not the food one, below it", I specified.

She observed it and after a few moments of understanding my look, she grinned at me.

"You are a genius, do you know that?", she shouted with excitement.

"I know", I smirked.

"What are you doing?", Riddanth frowned.

"Nothing", I said not wanting give away our devious plan. Okay, it's not devious but it is really good.

Just a look at me and he knew that I'm lying and he also knew that I'm not gonna give up. So, he turned towards Cherry.

"Cherry", he called with a sweet, husky and deep voice. Damn it, he uses it every time he wants something from us and now he wants information which I'm sure Cherry would give away.

"Yes", she responded with a dazed look.

"What are you doing?", he asked continuing his act.

"We are going for an interview-", I pressed the end button of the video call before she could spill it out.

"What were you doing, giving away our plan like that", I scowled smacking the backside of her head.

"I uh...I-, look it's time we need to go now, if we don't want to be late", she shouted pointing at a clock successfully distracting me from our previous matter.

"Don't be nervous, we'll get selected", Cherry tried to calm me.

"No, it's not just that. What if they don't and it's our only chance to find out the truth. We have to do something", I whispered.

She was about to respond but stopped by the sound of the door opening. A person came out and announced the names of the candidates who are to attend final round. Thankfully, we were selected. We were asked to have lunch and then come to give final interview.
