Mr.Not-So-Perfect

Chapter 33

Aadhya's POV:
"Do you think it's true?", Cherry asked looking at me with a tense expression.
"I don't know, but I'm sure we're gonna find out now", I whispered and looked around at everyone who is present  in this meeting.
After we looked at file and read it, it was disturbing me more than anything. Right now, I'm sitting in the meeting room with everyone else, who are busy with their conversations, waiting for Advay to come. After three minutes, exactly at 10:00 A.M. Advay entered the room and started his presentation.
Throughout out the meeting I listened  to was impressed at how quickly and efficiently he made changes but was anxiously waiting something I knew would happen.
Just like predicted Advay anounced that AR company would solely bare the loses, if that situation ever arises. I was not shocked about this announcement because I knew Advay Singh Raizada would go to any extremes to get whatever he wanted but what disturbed me was how did that old man knew about it, before any of us knew.
"Do you know what it means?", I asked now looking at Cherry just after everyone left for a break. We were only ones who did not leave the room.
"What", she responed with confusion.
"Someone from AR company is helping Atharva's with all the information", I said thinking about all the possibilities of who it could be.
"Yeah, but who?"
"I don't know but we have to find it out"
"Aadhya, I think we are missing something big, I mean think about it, nobody would target someone's company without any reason"
"AR group of companies was top ranked and influential company", I reasoned.
"Yeah, it was, not anymore. Even if it is why not target all other companies but only one", she asked. She is right. Before I could respond every body piled into the room and settled into their respective places.
Soon enough meeting came to an end and everybody agreed for the merger including me. As much as I hate it, this is a really good opportunity to ignore and reject it for a petty revenge.
"So, as this project requires employees who can handle intense pressure and are trustworthy I selected some of the employees from all of the companies present here. I want all of these people to work from my company starting tomorrow", he announced presenting a list of employees.
Immediately I looked at Cherry with an idea who was staring at me with a smile. Looking at her expression, I know that we both are on the same page on this.
"We both of us would like to work with you, too", Cherry said standing up pointing to me.
"No", Advay rejected without thinking about it for a second.
"Why not? We want to monitor how things are going on and I think if we jointly work, it would bring out the best", I argued.
"You can monitor it once in a while and like I already said, there won't be any loses and even if they arise I will bear it. So I don't see any point in you worrying", he scowled.
"We know but there are so many things at stake here, not just money", Cherry informed looking at everyone present there.
"It doesn't matter, because we picked out the best employees", he said.
"Yeah, but they don't own the company, do they?", I smirked. His clenched his hands into tight fists. I know I got him.
"And moreover we wan't to help it to make the best project ever", Cherry explained convincing everyone around us with her looks.
"Okay", he announced with a sour expression. Cherry and I hi-fied each other.

"What the hell is this?", I heard Cherry shouting and left to see what is it about.
"Ma,am, please try to understand, we can't do anything about it", I heard a male voice talk as I got near them.
I saw Cherry arguing with a man who is around my age. She looked angry but he wasn't scared or irritated. He had a cool and calm vibe.
"No, I don't care. I want it now", she demanded.
"Sorry but there is no other choice", he said.
"What happened", before I could ask a familiar cold voice asked interrupting them.
They both turned their heads and looked at me and Advay who is beside me.
"Sir, Ms. Khanna  is asking for a cabin change in the same floor as Ms. Gupta but there are no availabilities", the person Cherry was arguing explained.
"Ms. Khanna , you said you wanted to work here, so you will not argue about any arrangement we do. You can't expect us to treat you different just because you are the heirs of some company. If Sanjay said there is no vacancy, then it's final. If you don't like it you can leave right now, we won't stop you", he said or more like ordered.
Cherry's face was red with anger. I knew she would burst at him but before she can do anything I spoke.
"Oh, that won't be necessary. If you can't even provide us cabins to work, we won't mind at all. Sanjay, you can shift all of Cherry's stuff  into my cabin because we both will be working together. I don't mind sharing at all.You can ask your boss for confirmation but I doubt he would say anything because we are practically saving space and money for you"
Sanjay looked at me and then at his boss who is now stiff because of his anger. I looked at Cherry who was smirking with satisfaction.
Advay gave a nod to Sanjay and left as fast as he can.
"Okay Ms. Gupta, we'll do as you requested. Anyway, welcome to AR group of companies, I'm Sanjay , Mr. Raizada's PA. If you want any help from me don't hesitate to ask", he said while shaking my hand.
"It's nice to meet. We'll be in our cabin if you need us", I said and dragged Cherry with me to the top floor where my cabin is.

"I am famished. I never knew working could exhaust people", Cherry sighed.
"For once, I agree with you. I can't believe there so much work", I nodded.
"He wasn't joking when he said he wouldn't treat us differently", Cherry said.
"Yeah", I replied not taking my eyes off my laptop. "Let me just complete this, then we'll have lunch"
"What's so urgent, we still have time to complete it", she frowned.
"I know,but I have to complete this and then I have to think a way to find out the truth", I explained.
"Aadhya, don't take this in a wrong way but I think we can't do this"
"What do you mean?", I asked now focusing my attention on her.
"Listen, we have to work hard now and moreover I don't think Advay would not give us time to breath much less do other works so, I think we need to hire some proffesional for this. I know someone, if you want I will give you the contact", she explained.
"Okay, but can we trust this person?", I asked.
"He is the best there is", she assured me.

Advay's POV:
"Where are the new designs?", I asked Sanjay.
"Sir, Ms. Gupta is given the responsibility for it".
I smirked remembering it, "Of course, call her and ask her to bring them to me, now"
"But sir, the dealine is till tomorrow and you assigned her the job yesterday. I don't think she finished it"
"Do what I asked you to", I orderd with a stern look.
"Okay sir", he said and practically ran out of my room.
It's been more than a week since , we started the new project after merger. Since first day I've been trying to make them quit the work by assigning them loads and loads of work with ridiculous deadlines. But they are determined to give me a hard time and I'm not the one to back out.
Now, I think she will definitely get worked up because nobody could finish the designs in one day and I asked her to give me tomorrow, so she'll have no way but to quit. I smiled with satisfaction.
I went to the left side of the room and opened the curtains revealing my PA's cabin. His cabin is adjacent to mine seperated through a one-way mirror, meaning I can keep an eye on him without him noticing it. I noticed there is someone else is his cabion along with him. Aadhya. They were both laughing like they don't have a care in the world. What the ? I was livid. I asked them to bring the designs and here they both are enjoying. Let's see how much more time will it take for that smile to drop from her face.
"What is taking you so long? Come into my cabin nowwww with the designs", I shouted on the phone at my PA.
After two minutes they both came into my room.
"I only asked to bring the designs not the person. Ms. Gupta can leave and do some other work", I said now looking at my laptop.
"Sir, Aadhya wants to talk to you", he said.
I raised my eyebrow looking at them. Aadhya? I'm sure five minutes back he was referring her as Ms. Gupta.
"What is it? Make it  fast, because unlike some people I don't have any time to waste", I said.
"Mr. Raizada, you said you wanted the designs by tomorrow, why are asking them now?", she asked.
"The client just pre-poned the meeting and I want to review them before we present them to our client, so give them fast", I put my hand forward asking her to give me the designs.
"Can't I give them to you by tomorrow morning?"
"No, I want them now. Is that a problem Ms. Gupta?", I asked with hiding my smirk.
"Not at all, it's just the presentation team asked for it to prepare presentation, but if you want it,I can give it to them after your review", she said and placed a pendrive and some papers in my hand.
"You completed them?" I was shocked. How did she completed them so early?
"Of course, I did. You seem shocked. Is there any problem Mr. Raizada?", she smirked mocking me with her eyes.
I clenched my fists and dug my nails into my palm to control my rage and not to shout at her. No matter what I do, she is one step ahead of me.I hate her.Her presence makes me feel worst.I will make you quit. It's a challenge Ms. Aadhya Gupta.
