Jack's pov

I got back to the Why Don't We house, and the guys were in the living room talking. They all looked at me when I walked in.

"Where have you been?" Daniel asked.

"At my friend's house," I said blankly.

"What friend?" Zach raised an eyebrow.

"My best friend," I answered.

"Why won't you tell us anything about this person?" Corbyn asked.

"I want to keep you separated. I really don't want you guys near her-" I was cut off.

"Her?!" Jonah looked at the other guys.

My eyes widened. I hadn't told anything about Camry. The truth was that I was afraid she was going to like them better than me. I trust the guys, but I didn't want them hanging around her. If they fell for her, then it would be game over.

"Yes. Her," I sighed.

"What's her name?" Zach asked.

"How long have you known her?" Daniel raised an eyebrow.

"How old is she?" Jonah added.

"Does she even know your in the band?" Corbyn questioned.

I was pelted with a bunch of questions.

"Guys!" I yelled. "Stop!"

They went silent and stared at me. I let out a deep breath and ran my fingers through my hair. They waited on me to say something.

"I said I don't want you guys near her, so you're not getting any information," I said sternly and walked passed them.

Camry's pov

I woke up the next morning and decided to go to the mall and hang out for a while. Jack hadn't responded to my texts, so I went to the food court and got some food from Chick-Fil-A. I took my tray and sat down at a table. I quickly ate and then stood up to throw away my trash. I ran into someone, and my tray fell to the ground.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" we said at the same time.

I looked up, and there was a blonde girl who looked about my age. She bent down to help me clean up the mess.

"I wasn't looking where I was going. Sorry," she apologized.

"No, no, no," I said. "You're fine. I wasn't paying attention," I laughed.

We stood up, and I threw my trash away.

"I'm Val, by the way," she smiled.

"I'm Camryn," I smiled back.

"I was just about to grab some lunch. I know you already ate, but do you want to sit and talk? You seem chill," she said.

"Sure," I nodded.

She got her food, and we sat down at a table. We started talking, and she was super nice. I had a feeling we were going to be great friends. We had a lot in common, too. We both liked to sing and we're into the same music.

"I actually have a YouTube channel," Val told me.

"Oh really?" I asked. "That's so cool!"

"Yeah, I have 20k subscribers," she said.

"That's a lot!" my jaw dropped. "What kind of videos do you make?"

"I do covers and makeup tutorials. I also do skits and challenges. It's a mixture of everything, basically," she explained.

"I'll ave to check  out your videos. What's your channel?" I asked.

"ValAri," she replied.

She finished eating and threw her trash away, then came back and sat down. We continued talking and got to know each other pretty well. We exchanged numbers, and then she had to go because she had to record a video.

"I'll text you later?" she said as more of a question.

"Yeah! Definitely!" I nodded before going our separate ways.

I went back to my house and walked inside. I set my keys down on the table beside the door and plopped down on the couch. It wasn't but a few minutes until someone walked through the front door. I stood up and saw...
