Camry's pov (continuation)
"Come in," Val said.
"Hey," Daniel opened the door. "You ready, Camry?"
"Yeah, let me get my shoes, and I'll be right out," I sat up.
"I'll be in the living room," he smiled before shutting the door again.
I waited a few seconds before standing up. Val immediately sat up and looked at me. I slipped my shoes on.
"When did that happen?" she asked quickly.
"We are just going to grab some dinner," I laughed.
"So, it's not a date?" she raised an eyebrow.
"I don't know," I shrugged and went to the mirror.
"Do you like him?!" she squealed.
I paused a second and started to fix my hair.
"I'm not sure yet," I said. "He seems like a great guy."
"Well, I have lived with him for a year now," she started. "He is, in fact, a great guy. He's very sweet and shy. I think you'll like him."
"Thanks," I turned around.
"Now go! He's waiting!" she pushed me towards the door.
"Okay! Okay!" I laughed and hugged her really quick before walking out the door.
I went to the living room, and Daniel was on his phone. He looked up as I walked in.
"Ready?" he asked.
"Yeah," I smiled. "Are we taking your car?"
"Yup," he said.
We got to his car, and I got in the passenger seat.
"So, you and Val are best friends?" he asked.
"Yeah, we met at the food court in the mall," I answered. "We instantly became best friends."
"What about Jack?" he questioned.
"Oh, umm," I sighed because I didn't think that name would come up. "Jack is my guy best friend."
Why did he have to mention Jack? I wasn't going to cause any problems, though.
"Gotcha," he nodded.
We pulled into the Chick-Fil-A parking lot and got out. We went inside, and surprisingly it wasn't busy at all. We ordered, and I paid for my own food. We sat down at a table and started talking again.
"Do you sing?" he asked.
"No," I laughed a little. "I can't sing. I don't even sing around Jack."
"Oh come on," he rolled his eyes and laughed. "There's no way both of your best friends sing, and they've never heard you sing before."
"They haven't," I shrugged.
The waiter brought us our food, and before he left, he winked at me. I rolled my eyes. We ate our food and talked about random things.
"Do you have any siblings?" he asked.
"Yeah, I have a younger sister," I replied.
"Are you close?" he questioned.
"Not anymore. When I moved here, she stopped calling as much," I said.
"Oh, I'm sorry," he apologized.
"It's not your fault. You don't have to say sorry," I laughed at him. "What's it like being in a band?"
"It's fun. All the guys are chill, and we can just be ourselves around each other," he said.
"That's good," I smiled.
We finished eating and went back to the house. Daniel just said the corniest joke in the world, and I busted out laughing. I almost tripped over a rock because I couldn't stop laughing. Daniel grabbed my arm before I fell, and we were both laughing. He opened the door, and we finally calmed down some. I was still giggling.
"Camryn Ashley Smith!" Jack yelled.
My eyes widened, and I immediately stopped laughing. What was his problem? He walked up to me and grabbed my hand.
"What?" I groaned.
He pulled me into his room and shut the door behind him. I sat on the bed.
"What is this?!" he asked and shoved his phone in my face.
It was the picture of Mason and I kissing. I took his phone and tossed it behind me.
"That-" I started.
"First, that picture! Now you and Daniel go out?!" he yelled.
"I don't see why you're so mad!" I threw my hands up.
"You didn't even tell me you went to a party last night!" he folded his arms.
"I don't have to tell you when I go somewhere!" I snapped.
"You could've told me that instead of saying you were busy!" he rolled his eyes. "You also could've told me that you were going out with Daniel!"
"Why do you even care?!" I stood up.
He paused for a second. Before I could say or do anything, he pulled me by waist and kissed me. I slowly moved my hands to the back of his neck and kissed back. He slowly pulled away and stepped back, running his fingers through his hair.
