Camry's pov
*later*

"Jack," I whispered.

"Yeah?" he asked, looking up from his phone.

"I don't want to be by myself tonight," I pouted.

"Do you want me to stay with you tonight?" he asked.

"Please," I gave him puppy dog eyes.

"Okay. Let me get my things," he said.
I watched him walk around his room, throwing stuff in a Nike bag. In a few minutes, he zipped it up.

"Ready?" he asked.

I nodded and threw him the keys. We went to the living room, and the guys looked up at us.

"I'm going to stay at Camry's tonight," he announced.

"See you tomorrow," Jonah said.

"Night," Zach nodded.

"Text me later," Corbyn told him.

"Alright, see you guys tomorrow," Jack said before walking towards a the door.

I felt Daniel stare at me as I followed behind Jack. We walked out the door and got in my car. We were driving to my house, and Jack reached over and laced our fingers together. I looked down at our hands and smiled. We got to my house and went inside. I made Jack go with me everywhere.

"Wait, I have to take a shower," I sighed.

"Oh no, you're doing that by yourself," Jack said and shoved me in the bathroom.

I quickly took a shower and about busted my face because I was rushing. I ran out of the bathroom once I was done.

"Calm down," he laughed. "Nothing is going to get you, I promise."

I shut my bedroom door and the bathroom door. I turned the tv on, so there was light in the room. Luckily, my tv was big enough for it to be bright enough, so I could somewhat see everything around me without the lights being on. Jack was laying down and scrolling through socials on his phone. I crawled up next to him and wrapped my arms around his torso.

"Ugh, I hate being scared," I sighed.

"I won't make you watch a scary movie again," he said. "I promise."

He leaned down and kissed my cheek. He put his phone away, and we cuddled until both of us had fallen asleep.

~the next day~

I rolled over, but I hit something. I opened my eyes to see a sleeping Jack. I rolled back over and closed my eyes again, but shortly after, opened my eyes again. Now that I was awake, I knew I couldn't go back to sleep. I wrapped my arms around his torso. He opened his eyes and looked at me.

"Morning," he mumbled sleepily.

"Morning," I smiled.

He yawned.

"Thanks for staying with me," I told him.

"Anything for my best friend," he said and sat up, rubbing his eyes.

I sat up after him. There was always a part of me that thought Jack had feelings for me. Especially since Daniel and I stared locking eyes recently. I noticed how Jack would always pull me closer to him, so I wouldn't be near Daniel. Maybe he was just being protective since I was his best friend?

"What are we going to do today?" I asked him.

"Can we just stay here?" he sighed. "I just want to watch movies and hang out."

"Sure," I smiled.

I didn't even bother changing, so I just kept on my black sweatpants and maroon shirt. Jack and I made some cereal really quick and ate it. We went back to my room and got comfortable. We decided to watch all of the Harry Potter movies. We had to pause it to go make sandwiches for lunch. It took us all day to watch the whole series. I would occasionally fall asleep. Once the credits came on for the last movie, I looked at the clock. It read 11:38.

"Jack, we've done nothing today," I told him. "It's eleven-thirty-eight."

"Oh well," he shrugged.

"We need to run a few laps, so we can say we've done something," I laughed.

"Nah," he said. "I'm good."

I rolled my eyes at him. I started to get out of the bed, but he pulled me back down. I looked at him and pouted.

"No, I want to cuddle," he said.

"Can I at least throw away this trash?" I asked, picking up popcorn bags and empty soda cans and water bottles.

He nodded and let me stand up. I threw the stuff in the trash can in the kitchen. I grabbed two more water bottles and went back to my room. I tried to stay up as long as I could to get some blood flowing. I threw the water bottles on my bed, and Jack grabbed one of them.

"Oh, I forgot something," I lied just so I could walk around some more.

I walked around the living room and the kitchen for a few minutes. Then I went back to my room. I sat up beside Jack. He rested his head on my stomach and wrapped his arms around my waist. I could tell he was struggling to stay awake.

"You're so lazy," I laughed softly.

"Oh, hush," he smiled before closing his eyes completely.

"Goodnight," I smiled.

"Night," he mumbled before falling asleep.

I laid awake and ran my fingers through his curls. I couldn't stop thinking about him and Daniel. Maybe I should just talk to Daniel instead of making awkward eye contact and then ignoring him. Then again, Jack was my best friend, and I would never do anything to hurt him. I sighed and looked at Jack. He was sound asleep. I ended up not sleeping at all.
