Camry's pov (continuation)

I was speechless. Did that actually just happen? Camryn say something. Why did I have to be so stupid? Just saying something!

"I-I'm sorry," Jack stuttered without making eye contact.

"No," I said before taking a step closer. "It's fine."

I couldn't believe I was about to do this, but I was happy. I smiled before taking his face in my hands and kissing him. He set his hands on my waist. Once we pulled away, we were both smiling.

"I've been wanting to do that for a while," he bit his lip.

"Yeah?" I breathed.

He smiled and nodded.

"Cam!" Val yelled.

I jumped back and sat on the bed.

"Yeah?!" I yelled back.

She opened the door.

"Oops. Did I interrupt something?" she asked.

"No," I glanced at Jack and then back at Val. "What's up?"

"Can I spend the night at your house?" she blurted.

"Of course!" I smiled, jumping up. "Get your things. I'll meet you in the living room."

"Great! See you in a few minutes," she said before leaving and shutting the door behind her.

Jack and I stood there awkwardly for a few seconds.

"I better go wait on her. She could be done any second," I made an excuse to leave.

"Oh, okay," he said.

I left his room and went to the living room. Daniel was sitting on the couch. He looked up at me once I walked in.

"What was that about?" he asked.

"Nothing. It's fine now," I breathed.

"You sure?" he raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah," I nodded. "Not a big deal."

A few minutes passed, and I just scrolled through social media. Finally, Val came into the living room with a bookbag that was clearly packed with tons of things.

"Ready?" I asked and looked up at her.

"Ready when you are," she nodded.

I hopped up and grabbed my keys.

"Bye, Camryn," Daniel said.

"Bye. Tell everyone else I said goodnight," I told him before heading out the door.

Val and I hopped in my car, and we went to my house. We went inside, and I immediately plopped down on the couch. Val sat next to me and set her bag down on the table.

"Let me go take a shower really quick," I told her.

She nodded, and I went back to my room. I grabbed a navy blue hoodie and some black athletic shorts. I took a super quick shower and then threw on the clothes I had picked out. I just put on some mascara and did my eyebrows again before going back to the living room. Val had changed into a white shirt with gray pajamas shorts. I grabbed a blanket on my way to the couch and then sat down. Val looked up from her phone.

"What's up," I asked popping the 'p'.

"Scrolling through comments on my Instagram," she shrugged.

"Nice," I said.

"I guess," she laughed.

"Let me know when that video goes up," I told her.

"Yes, I will definitely text you or something before I post it," she smiled. "Everyone is going to love you."

"You think?" I asked.

"Yes. Positive," she reassured me.

"Okay. I believe you," I laughed.

It was silent for a little bit. She picked at her nails for a few seconds, and I messed with the corner of the blanket. I could tell she wanted to ask me something.

"What was going on with you and Jack before I walked in?" she asked and waited a second before looking up at me.

I thought for a second. Should I tell her? After all, she was my best friend.

"We were arguing," I started. "He saw the picture of Mason and I kissing, and then he got mad at me for going out with Daniel... even though he was the one that told me to give him another chance anyway."

I paused for a second.

"Then he kissed me..." I blurted.

"Are you serious?!" she screamed. "Did you kiss back?!"

"Yeah," I bit my lip.

"Oh my gosh!" she squealed. "Wait, do you like him?"

"I don't know!" I covered my face. "Ugh! I hate feelings!"

"I can relate," Val laughed.

"No! You have Jonah!" I quickly uncovered my face and pouted.

"Oh, right," she remembered. "Well, I can still relate."

"Jack had to make things confusing, and now I don't know what to do," I explained. "I don't want to ruin our friendship, but I also have feelings for him."

"I think you and Jack would be cute, to be honest," she shrugged. "But then again you and Daniel are also really cute."

"You're not helping," I laughed.

"Sorry, sorry," she said.
