Daniel's pov
Camry was gone almost all day. She hadn't even tried to contact us or let us know that she was okay. I paced around the living room until Val walked in from the guest bedroom.
"Daniel," she sighed. "Stop worrying about her."
"Sorry," I stopped walking.
"I know you have feelings for her, but you have to let her go for now. She's going through a lot, and she doesn't know what she's doing," she told me.
"It hurts to know that last night she was with someone else," I looked out the window.
"Give her some time," she said. "Jack was her best friend, and he broke her heart. This is just how she's coping with it right now."
I didn't say anything. I really liked her, but she was doing her own thing. Yeah, she kissed me last night, but she didn't mean it. Of course I felt something. She didn't, though.
"She kissed me last night," I blurted.
"In the moment?" she asked.
I nodded.
"She's not even thinking about what she's doing," I sighed.
"Daniel, just give her time," Val told me before going back to the guest room.
Val's pov
I knew that Daniel had feelings for Camry. It was clear. When he had told me that she had kissed him last night, I couldn't help but feel bad for him. All that did was play with his feelings. He knew she didn't mean it. Camry didn't even know what she was doing to him. If she didn't stop, she could hurt him too.
"Val," I heard Camry's voice from the living room.
"I'm in the guest room!" I yelled.
A few seconds later, she walked into my temporary room. She walked over and sat next to me on the bed.
"What's up?" she asked me.
"I need to talk to you," I sighed.
"About?" she asked, skeptical.
"Daniel clearly has feelings for you," I straight up said. "Stop messing with his feelings."
"You know I kissed him?" she asked.
"Daniel told me," I answered.
"It was one time," she said.
"You are obviously still trying to deal with this whole thing with Jack. I just wish you'd be more careful about your actions," I told her.
"Maybe I have feelings for Daniel," she avoided eye contact.
"Then that's something you need to figure out," I shrugged.
Camry got up and walked out of my room. Ever since this whole thing with Jack blew up, things have been pretty rough for everyone.
Camry's pov
"Umm... Guys!" Daniel yelled from the living room. "You might want to see this!"
Val and I walked into the living room. He handed me his phone as he pressed play on the video. It was a video of Clevver News on YouTube.
"Drama is going down with the Limelights. Fans of the uprising boy band, Why Don't We, are going crazy about Jack Avery and his girlfriend, Camry Smith," the girl announced.
Val and I exchanged looks before looking back at the phone.
"They were best friends before they started dating," she continued. "Once they announced their relationship, the whole fandom blew up with happiness. Camry was on tour with them until she suddenly flew back to L.A. No one knew the reasoning behind this, but it was rumored that they had broken up. Now, it could have clearly been a small thing, such as her getting sick or a family emergency. Fans seemed to think otherwise after they stopped posting about each other on their social media's. However, not too long ago Jack posted a picture of them together with the caption 'I love you, baby.' But just the other day, fans had seen Jack out walking into a coffee shop with Aspen. Some fans believe Jack and Camry have broken up for good while others think they are just taking a break. Let me know what you think in the comments."
The video ended. I handed Daniel his phone back. I didn't know what to say. My life was so screwed up.
"I think you and him need to talk about this," Val told me.
I pulled out my phone and called Jack. He didn't answer, so I called him again. Still no answer. I called him one last time before I gave up. He answered on the last ring. I opened the front door and stepped outside, leaving Val and Daniel inside. I shut the door behind me.
"What?" he answered rudely.
"Are we going to announce the breakup or not? Clevver News is already onto us," I sighed.
"You can do whatever you want," he said.
I rolled my eyes and hung up on him. I went back inside.
"What'd he say?" Daniel asked.
"He said I can do whatever I want," I answered.
I deleted all of the pictures of Jack and I together off of my social media. I deleted all the recent tweets about it, since there were way too many about him from years ago. Then I went to my Instagram.
"I'm going to do a livestream to explain everything. I'll be in my room in you need anything," I told them.
I walked to my room and shut the door. I opened my blinds, so the lighting was good. I started the livestream and waited a few minutes so everyone could join.
"Hey, everyone," I said once I figured that everyone should be in the livestream by now.
Everyone was already asking questions about Jack and I. I took a deep breath before starting.
"So, I just thought that this needed to be addressed since everyone is talking about it now... Jack and I are no longer together," I started.
I was already getting emotional. I sniffled. Then everyone was asking what happened and telling me that it was going to be okay.
"Yes, I'm going to explain everything," I said. "I just... I have to get my thoughts together..."
A few minutes passed before I was actually ready to start explaining.
"Jack and I have been best friends for as long as I can remember. We didn't know if we wanted to be something more or not, but then we ended up going for it... We were both hesitant because we didn't want to ruin our friendship and what we had together... As most of you know, I went on tour with him and the band. Everything was great until I woke up on the bus one day and... found out something that I wasn't expecting at all. I didn't know how to react, so I flew back to L.A. Jack and I didn't talk again until after they came back from their tour... Then they came back and time passed. We eventually talked and decided to get back together. After that, everything went downhill. He had promised me that he wouldn't do it again... but he did."
I was trying to hold back my tears, but I didn't know how much longer I'd last.
"We haven't talked since we broke up, except for when I asked him if I could announce the breakup," I picked at my nails.
I thought about everything that had happened.
"We aren't best friends anymore... We aren't even friends... This wasn't my decision, but I guess I am just going to have to go with it," I was so close to just letting all the tears go.
~
@user1: Whoa... I didn't know all this happened.
@user2: I'm so sorry.
@user3: All these haters need to back off. You are clearly hurting.
@user4: I still don't understand why y'all broke up?
@user5: Awww, Camry.
@ValAri: I love you, girlie.
@user6: Please don't cry!
@user7: Stay strong.
@user8: Can you explain a little more?
~"Some people are asking me to be more specific," I said.
I gathered my thoughts before speaking again. I really had to think about this before I said anything because I didn't want to expose Jack. I pretended like I was talking to Jack.
"If you are hiding something throughout half of the relationship," my voice cracked. "and I find out, I'm going to be upset about it. You were basically lying to me for half of our relationship. How do you think that makes me feel?"
I let a few tears fall. That was my cue to end the livestream.
"Hopefully you guys understand now," I said. "So to conclude this livestream, I still care about him. I still support him. I'll always be here if he needs me. I just hope he knows that... Thank you guys so listening to what I had to say. I love you."
I ended the broadcast.
