Camry's pov

I hated myself. What just happened? I was so mad at myself for going to that stupid party. I could've called Daniel and asked if he wanted to hang out. But noooo, I had to go off a party, and of course Mason had to be there. I didn't even want to think about Jack right now.

I turned my phone on and checked the time. It read 10:48. I got in the shower, and I was in there for quite a while. Finally, I got out and threw on a gray tank top along with some navy blue sweatpants. Let's just recap everything, Mason came back and ruined my night even though he didn't mean to, Jack clearly doesn't have feelings for me but I might like it, and I need to give Daniel another shot. My phone buzzed.

Val: You need to come over ASAP!

I really didn't want to see Jack, but Val was my best friend.

Me: I'm on my way.

I didn't even bother to change clothes. I slipped on my Rainbows and then grabbed my keys. I hopped in the car as I threw my hair up into a messy bun. Every time I stopped at a red light, I put on some makeup. Yes, I really do have an extra bag of makeup in my car. All I did was put on some mascara. I didn't have time for anything else. I pulled up to their house and knocked on the door.

"Glad you're here," Jonah breathed as he opened the door.

"What's going on?" I asked as I heard something hit the ground.

"Jonah!" someone yelled.

Jonah and I rushed inside. Corbyn and Val were yelling at each other, and Daniel was cleaning up glass off the floor. I froze. Jack saw me and jogged towards me. I closed my eyes for a second, bracing myself.

"Cam! Tell Corbyn that I was going to tell him about Jonah and I!" she yelled.

I slowly walked up to both of them. I felt so bad, if I had just remembered that I needed to go with her to tell Corbyn, this wouldn't have happened.

"She was, and I was supposed to go with her. It's my fault. I didn't make time for it," I said calmly.

"That doesn't make what you did right!" Corbyn yelled.

"Can you stop! I'm old enough to make my own decisions! You can't just boss me around like this!" Val screamed.

"I'm just trying to protect you okay?! I don't want you getting hurt!" Corbyn slightly calmed down.

"I don't care! Let me live my life!" Val yelled.

Corbyn finally backed off and didn't say anything else. He shook his head before going down the hall. I could tell she was going to cry. She hugged me, and I hugged her tighter than ever.

"Why can't everything just be normal?" she cried.

"I know how you feel," I sighed.

We stood there for a few minutes. Finally, she pulled away. Jack and Jonah were staring at us. Val slowly walked up to Jonah.

"I knew we should've just stayed friends," she whispered, but I could hear.

"I'm not giving up on you," Jonah said, taking her hands in his. "I don't care what Corbyn thinks."

They hugged. Jack stood there awkwardly, but I tried not to focus on him.

"Thanks for coming, Cam," Val walked back towards me.

"No problem," I smiled.

We hugged once more.

"Sorry if I interrupted something," she said.

"Oh, no, you didn't," I shook my head.

My phone started buzzing nonstop.

@jacksnoodles followed you

@wdwcrack followed you

@corbeanforlife followed you

I kept getting notifications that people were following my social media's. Also, I was getting tagged in photos.

"What the heck?" Jack pulled out his phone.

"Why are your phones blowing up?" Val asked.

I clicked on a photo that I was tagged in. It was a collage of pictures of Jack and so together. Most of them were from the mall and a few from when we were at McDonalds.

"New couple? @jackaverymusic @camrynsmith" I read from the caption.

I rolled my eyes and put my phone away. Jack hadn't said anything. I looked over, and he was still scrolling through his phone.

"I guess I better head back now," I told Val.

"Okay, do you want to hang out tomorrow?" Val asked.

"Sure. Let me know when and where," I nodded.

"I was thinking we could film a video, actually. Only if you want to," she said.

"Yeah, sounds like fun," I smiled.

"I'll give you details tomorrow," she nodded.

"Alright. I'll text you in the morning," I said before heading towards the door.

I went to my car and drove back to my house. Once I got home, I wiped my makeup off and fell asleep.
