(12) "KAREN! KIAN'S RAPING ME!"

Chapter 12 – Kayla’s POV.

It’s been about 2 weeks since I’ve accepted Karen’s offer and it feels like everything is going good. I’m going to start earning some money soon so I’ll be able to afford a separate apartment for Cole and myself, everybody still likes me (I hope) and Connor has cut down on his sexual comments.

Well not really.

So nothing much has changed besides the fact that I’ve got a job.

Actually, Lexi has been acting a bit weird lately.

You see, ever since I told Lexi and Amber that I’ve snagged a job for Karen Brooks, Lexi’s been a bit odd. She doesn’t really talk to me much and can’t even look me in the eye. I’ve noticed how she gives me a look of disgust when I’m not watching. What the hell is that all about? It’s probably nothing though, everybody has their days.

“Get your lazy butt up and downstairs now” Kian’s teasing voice penetrated my thoughts and my room.

I looked up from The Fault in Our Stars and shot him a teasing glare.

“Yes master, anything else?” I teased back.

Oh yeah, that’s another thing that’s changed within these two weeks. Kian has become much more friendly and playful instead of that emotionless bipolar Kian we all had gotten used to. Not in school though, he wants to keep his reputation as the mysterious loner. I have to admit, the mysterious bit suits him. He’s very secretive, very preserved.

I scoffed out loud, one day I’ll find out all your secrets Kian, one day.

Hopping off my bed and walking down the stairs, I kept thinking about how my life is falling into place and grinned at the thought of it.

“Thinking about me princess?” Trevor asked. I rolled my eyes.

“Yeah, how I wish I could be yours Trevor” I played along, sighing for added effect.

“We could always have a sneaky relationship and nobody ever has to know” He winked.

“Except the big doofus behind me” I rolled my eyes again.

“You mean, big, muscular, strong, doofus” Kian retorted.

“Yeaaaah” I stretched out the word, causing Trevor to laugh.

Next thing you know, I’m over Kian’s shoulder and pounding on his back.

“Put me down!”  I yelled.

“Not until you admit I’m strong and sexy” I could literally feel his smirk.

“Kian stop molesting my sister” Cole laughed.

Soon, I was still over Kian’s shoulder, Cole was still laughing alongside Trevor, Connor and Jamie who had also entered the room. I was helpless.

But not for long I thought, as I had an epiphany.

“KAREN! KIAN’S RAPING ME!” I yelled out loud, knowing that Karen would be able to hear me, obviously the boys didn’t realise what I’d said, but Kian did as his grip tightened. Soon, the sound of heels clicking the floor echoed the room.

“KIAN MATT BROOKS!” She yelled.

“Yes Mother?” His voice had a teasing edge to it.

“You put down that girl right now otherwise you can say goodbye to Jackie, Hannah and Lola” She threatened and I was immediately placed on my two feet, but the world spun around a bit so I grabbed my head in hopes it would straighten the world out.
