Chapter 38 – Kayla’s POV.
I was in the middle of eating my 5th pizza slice when I noticed a familiar set of blue eyes.
As his eyes locked with mine, his eyes widened as my eyes narrowed. I noticed him quickly say something to the unfamiliar guy with him who looked in my direction. And then, both of them broke out into a sprint out of the restaurant.
Oh great, I have to run I thought as I hopped out of my seat and out of the restaurant after Kian and his friend.
All I could think was: thank God I wore converses.
And that I had tomato sauce all over my chin.
Confused? Let’s rewind to the beginning of the day.
*8 Hours Earlier*
It’s been 4 days. Four fucking days since that idiot I love decided to do a disappearing act as if he’s fucking Houdini.
Yeah you read that right, I said love.
Fucking shithead makes me fall in love with him then disappears before I could say anything to him.
Stupid child.
“KAYLA AUDREY WRIGHT GET YOUR SKINNY ASS OUT OF THAT BED BEFORE I DRAG YOU OUT OF IT!” Cole yelled from the stairs. I just turned onto my side and faced out of the window, watching the not so interesting cat climb the tree.
I dislike cats.
The entire time I’ve just stayed in bed, but before you go mental; I have been eating. I cannot give up food. It’s awesome. And I need all my strength to beat the hell out of Kian once I find him. I mean, is it so hard to give me a fucking text and tell me you’re okay?
Stupid child.
I think we can all agree that Kian is pretty stupid.
Even if you disagree, deep down inside that pretty body of yours, you know he is stupid.
“KAYLA YOU HAVE 3 SECONDS!”
Empty threats.
“3”
He’s bluffing.
“2”
Like I believe him.
“Don’t say I didn’t warn you” and with that, he proceeds to drench me in ice cold water as I let out a screech and jump 3 foot out of my bed, landing on the floor.
“I was meant to do that” I calmly stated and got up to glare my idiot of a brother who was laughing like a hyena.
“Run” I glared and his eyes widened as he started running like out of my room, with me hot on his tail.
Bloody hell he could give Usain Bolt a run for his money at the pace he’s going.
“KARENNNNNN!” His voice echoed through the empty house.
I slowed as I reached the kitchen, my heart weighing heavy as I realised why the house felt so empty. Usually at this time Kian and the boys are arguing over their console and who won and who cheated whilst Lilly cheered Kian on. I didn’t want to face anyone so I just sat down on the floor near the kitchen and pulled up my knees to my chest, stuffing my face in between them.
I could feel the tears coming as I thought about Kian.
His eyes.
His smile.
His laugh.
His stupid jokes.
His sarcasm.
Before I knew it, sobs were racking my body and I was shaking. I missed him so much.
