The Depression

The darkness inside scares us

Our deepest fears and secrets

Are revealed through our actions

Shadows haunt our very being

Behind us at every waking second

Our only hope is to find the light within each other and ourselves

Little creatures of the night, awaken when we are asleep

Different kinds of monsters lie under our own beds

The darkness we hide controls us

It limits our dreams

Sadness flows through our very veins

Pressure to make a living, drives us crazy

To the point where we question our existence, the depression haunts our very souls as if it wants to kill us

Monsters and demons haunt our minds

They control our life and our actions

The depression wants to end us

It wants us all to die, it infects us until we want to quit and then we do
