Yellow Eyes

Cold and all alone

Shivering and shaking, as if the earth is quaking

Frozen tears plastered on my face

My fate is cruel

Slowly freezing to death

Winter winds whip around my face

The thirst sets in as I croak out for help

No one is there

Headaches set in as I stumble around

My blonde eyes fail to see the yellow eyes

A mist surrounds me, trying to hide

Those yellow eyes as they seek me out

For I am no prey that is unprotected

My heart throbs in my chest

The yellow eyes pounce

A shrill scream escapes my mouth

Ignored by the village as I shout for help

I am soon forgotten by all who knew me
