Colorblind

The world is colorless

Only a big black blob

My vision is going for all I see are shades

The different shades of the colors I can not see

For my eyes reject all color

Black and gray and white

All in different variations

I can't comprehend it all

My mind is hurting

Soon soft hands are atop mine

Breath and focus, a voice tells me

My breathing steadies and slows as I focus

I open my eyes to see a whole new world

Colors, I can finally see them

Tears in my eyes as I look around

Hey, can you see me?

I head in the direction of the voice

The person who helped me

I give them a hug for once in my life, I had finally felt the love of one

Now I am not colorblind

And for that - I thank you
