The Cove

A little birdy once told me a secret

About a little cove in the rainforest

The sun shines just right

And the rain falls down like teardrops

The cove is hidden, deep within

With twists and turns

With traps and mazes

Like a never ending puzzle

The water is crystal and clean

But the cove isn't as it seems

Around the corner it turns gray, all color fades into nothingness

The plants start to wilt and the animals start to die

All happiness has left the cove

The animals left, run and hide from the darkness within

But in that darkness is a living plant

A ray of hope within

That ray then spreads and all is as it once was

The animals come back from hiding and the plants are regrown

The cove has returned to being it's colorful and clean self

And again the cycle repeats

As the darkness wins

The trees will wilt and the animals will die

But everything will always be reborn
