Sunset

Her hair waving in the wind as she stands tall and proud - looking up to the clouds

Mother can you see me now? See how far I've come...

It's your favorite time of day when the sun sets into the horizon, dipping into the deep ocean blue

Birds flying to and fro trying to find their young

Were you ever like that with me? Acting like a chicken with their head cut off?

The drippy sunset fades into dark - my favorite time of day

It's where the monsters lay within the lies of others

Why is the sunset your favorite? I had always wanted to ask, but then you were gone

No one knows where you went but all I know is that you'll be looking at the sun as it sets on the horizon wherever you are and I hope that you are thinking of me when you do
