They think it's safe
They enter through a door
It closes as they feel unsteady
Creaks and cracks bring their gaze up
A sudden shake
Stumbling around, they bump
Crashing suddenly; out of control
A fight they won't win
It stops, hanging in mid-air
Faces of fear frozen in place
Unexpected and unsafe
They know they will not survive
Ripping of the wire brings them crashing down
Falling to their doom, alone with no goodbyes
Tumbling down they came, bloody and broken they became
