So tonight, December 19th, is the seventh day of Hanukkah. I know that Evan Hansen, Jared Kleinman, and Jeremy Heere are all Jewish. I didn't want to just write a Christmas chapter because they wouldn't celebrate Christmas. But, I'm pretty sure the rest of the characters would. Also, I celebrate Christmas and I don't know a lot about Hanukkah. So, this chapter will be about both! Kind of.

Evan's POV

"Evan I'm coming in." Leo said as he opened my door. I looked up from my phone. I was almost done with the eighth book on Connor's list.

"So, Christmas is coming up. I was wondering if you wanted to have a little party with some friends he(e)re?" He asked.

"I'm J-Jewish, but s-sure." I told him. Leo smacked his forehead before muttering,

"Shit."

"Why didn't you tell me? We could've celebrated Hanukkah together." Leo asked.

"I-I just wouldn't b-be worth i-it. I would've b-been at the h-hospital. Plus, I-I'm just not i-in the mood to c-celebrate without C-Connor here." I admitted.

"Then we can have a Hanukkah/Christmas party! We'll merge the two together! It'll be so much fun! It'll take your mind off of things!" He exclaimed. Leo's happiness was infectious and I couldn't help but smile.

"S-Sure."

*Le Time skip brought to you by me sucking at playing volleyball in gym. Again. I'm not good at sports if you can't tell*

I handed Leo the last piece of tape. He climbed down from the ladder. We looked around the room, admiring our handiwork.

We had changed our normal living room into a holiday wonderland. On the coffee table I had placed a menorah. In the corner stood a Christmas tree, decorated with Christmas and Hanukkah ornaments. On wall hung a Star of David wreath. On another, there was a Christmas wreath. In the kitchen, we had mixed together some traditional foods and left others alone. I smiled. For once in months, I was feeling happy again.

The first person to arrive was- the kinky boi himself-Jared.

"What's up my bros?" He asked as he slammed the door open. He started crunching on one of his bathbombs. It looked holiday themed and smelled like lavender.

"Jesus Faist Jared! You need to stop eating those things!" Leo told him as he tried to snatch it out of his hands. Jared moved away just in time.

"Don't you mean I need to stop cronching these things?" He corrected with a laugh.  I shook my head as I chuckled. Through the open door I could see Alana, Zoe, and Piper walking across the frosty lawn.

"Hey guys!" Piper yelled as she ran up to the door. We all shared some hugs and tried to take Jared's bathbomb away.

"Seriously, eating those things will kill you." Alana explained as she went through a list of all the ingredients that would end his life.

"Well, at least I'll die doing something I love." He said.

"What?" Zoe asked.

"Dying." Jared stated before laughing like a hyena. The door opened to reveal Jeremy and Michael. As soon as they walked through the door, Jared dragged them over to a mistletoe hanging from a doorway.

"Kiss!" We all chanted. With a red face, Jeremy gave Michael a chaste kiss on the lips. We all sighed in disappointment. Suddenly, Michael dipped Jeremy and gave him a romantic kiss. When they came up for air, they both were panting and had red faces. I couldn't help but get a little depressed because that's what Connor and I would've probably done. He couldn't be here though because he tried to kill himself and he's in a coma andit'sallmyfaulthewould'vebeenhereifitwasn'tformeand...
