Part 12, It Takes Two

Perri P.O.V

I wake up at 1:00pm, wash my face and brush my teeth. Then I tie my hair into a man bun, trying to keep my crazy afro in control...and also because Ari thinks I look hot in a man bun. I put on my black t-shirt, addidas tracks, my cap and my vans and go downstairs and have some breakfast. Then I go to look for Ariana, and I find her in an interview with the presenters of the regional championships, they are talking to her about yesterdays solo. When she is done we go to the café together and sit and talk. We talk for literally 2 hours, I am so attracted to her. Also we are flirting throughout, and I just want to kiss her lips, all the boys told me that the first kiss is always the best, but for me this would be my first ever kiss, my dating life has basically been a disaster so far. I suggest we go work on the duet, so we do, and in no time at all, we are asked to head into the dressing room to get ready. I have a weird feeling in my stomach because I have been told by the boys that if I add a triple twist right before the hip hop section, then that would top the dance off, but I am having trouble on how to land if. I tried to include it in multiple dances with the boys, but just not being able too. I ask Ariana what she thinks when we are waiting at the sidelines, and she says I should try to do it.

Our duet is going fine, but we are nearing the hip hop part and I am seriously contemplating wether I should risk it or not. I am lifting Ariana now and as I place her back on the ground, I look into her eyes for a second, and I feel like I can do anything. Only Ariana makes me feel this way. Suddenly, I am doing it. I am twisting through the air- and I landed! Ariana gives me a smile and a mini clap, I could hear the boys clapping from the sideline. This was perfect.

Me and Ariana give eachother a massive hug while the audience gives us a standing ovation. The other duet got a score of 90, and we got....94!!! Yesss! We get hugs and 'well dones' from our team, then we walk hand in hand down to the dressing room to get changed quickly for the first group dance, everyone else was already changed. "That was amazing" Ariana says a bit out of breath. "I..love you" she blurts out. I look into her eyes, she seems shocked that she said that. Then before I know what is happening, she is on tip toes and my hands are on her hips, there is this sort of romantic connection between us, then her head tilts up and our lips are touching. I am scared...I have never kissed a girl before, but I seem to know what I am doing. It feels so good. She has one hand lightly pinching the back of my neck, and her other one is gently stroking my face. My hands are moving up and down her waist, and we share this amazingly passionate kiss for about 10 seconds. We finally break apart, out of breath a bit. Then I say "I love you too" and we give eachother a hug.

Ariana P.O.V

Our kiss was absolutely amazing. We both get changed for the group dance and then head back to our team. Ashley informs us we have 5 minutes before we are on. Me and some girls sit down and start talking, whilst diversity are talking amongst eachother. Then Lola breaks the most horrible news to me.
