Like confetti —
Without courage,
You're never ready.
The orchestra plays on,
Despite your absence there.
Their sound is so much better
Without your peculiar flair —
You're gone...checked out...
Your faint scent is all that's left behind —
And soon it too will be gone,
With nothing left to remind.
Like somber fragments
That lay around in waste —
The pieces of your puzzle
Put together in haste.
So the carnage left behind
Is nothing new —
Cause that's what your life
Has always purchased you.
