A rock rolled down a hill
And became a boulder —
Just like wrinkles appear
As we get older. There's no more lullaby's from the tired carousel,
So you long for the time
When they carefully cradled your fontanel.Your bones begin to ache as much as your soul,
While the gray creeps in...
Reminding you that you're old.So sleep comes that much harder
And dreams stay away —
As youth gets farther and farther...
You continue to lose your way.Because it's all uncertain amongst the certainties —
Where life has absolutely no guarantees...
Except death.
