Life is like walking through quicksand,
Or mountain climbing during a landslide,
Or skiing during an avalanche —Like swimming in an ocean of mud,
Or roller skating during an earthquake —It's like looking through a foggy window,
Or trying to surf in a shallow stream,
Or flying a kite during a tornado —Life is like jumping out of a plane without a parachute,
Or staring directly at a solar eclipse —Like a garden without soil,
A plant without roots,
Or diving into a bottomless pit —Life is like sticking your hand in a hornet's nest,
Or a blind man without a cane,
Or jumping rope without legs —It's like walking on a tight rope over a lava bed,
Or scuba diving in shark infested waters without an oxygen tank —It's like a fine feast without any food...
Like walking down a long gravel road without any shoes,
Or an eye exam during a sandstorm —It's like drinking from a broken glass,
Or riding in a car with a drunk who's driving far too fast —It's like playing Russian roulette with a gun that your worst enemy loaded,
Or being the very best that you can be, yet never good enough —It's like marching barefoot across a bed of rusty nails,
Or being covered in oozing sores that will never, ever heal —Yet somehow...we find a way.
