Fast on the road to nowhere...
All the gridlock in between —
I think about the things I've been through,
And all the things I've seenI wish I could pull over,
Find somewhere to turn or delay...
Or hope that my car breaks down somewhere,
Along the weary way...Then I could get out, stretch my legs,
Try to find my way back —
And maybe have a chance to discover,
All the things I sorely lackI could never seem to keep up the pace —
It's always going far too fast...
So I'll just let them pass me by,
And not care that I'm last.
