I'm in a hole with only a shovel,
To dig myself deeper still –
No rope, no rescue...
I've lost my very willIt's the pit of despair –
The fear of going nowhere...I'm losing my way, my faith,
Living in sin...
Looking for that last bit of strength,
To come from deep withinSecond chances are often too late,
Though I'm sure mine will never come...
It doesn't really matter though,
Because I never even got oneEveryone always gets in front of me in line –
They've all had their turn...
But I never got mineSo I'll keep on digging;
Fueled by such hopelessness —
As the world fades away...
I'm lost without a purpose.
