Ashes to ashes,
I'm already dead —
Dust to dust,
I feel nothing but dreadA foot in the grave,
Just going through the motions —
A tag hangs from my toe
Despite life's idyllic notionsMy life entombed,
I never got to live...
My grave was robbed —
They took all I had to giveSix feet under...
Shuffled off the mortal coil —
I lay stiff and cold,
Beneath the hardened soilFrom cradle to grave,
It all meant nothing.
Interred against my wishes —
My body filled with stuffingMy bloodless cadaver,
Waits upon the gritty shore —
Caught between this world,
And all I care forBut I've crossed over
And accepted my fate —
Don't bother with goodbyes...
It's already too late.
