As I go down the lonely stairs of descension...
I dare not give in to my apprehension
For I will face whatever comes my way...
Whether in the dark, or the light of day
I'll call upon all my inner strength and will...
To know it's not only I, that solemnly climbs this hill
And before midnight turns to dawn again,
The stairs of life, I hope to ascend.
