I was helplessly caught in your snare...
You had me over a barrel,
Trapped in your pit of unending despair
Perpetually kept under lock and key...
Suffering irrevocably alone,
In your devastating misery
Stripped bare and cruelly caged...
My wings were clipped,
Unable to fly away —
So you took advantage,
Inflicting your rage
You always had me under your thumb...
Drenched in your agony —
Just waiting for me to succumb
I know that for now,
There is no escape...
You've got me right where you want me —
In your stranglehold of insufferable constraints
Though one day, I may finally be free...
I'll still have to walk a long, hard, painful path —
Dealing with the aftermath,
Of a psychopath.
