You were like a storm
That unfortunately rolled into my life —
Turned everything upside down,
Causing only misery and strife
Your clouds were invariably heavy,
With nothing but vile acid rain —
That absorbed into my skin,
And seeped into my veins
Your thunder and lightning
Was sinister and frightening —
Always trying to strike at me
Calculatingly...
While your cold, brutal winds
Continued to batter
And dominate me...
Relentlessly.
