A loss of light,
No glimmer left in thy soul
Words are no longer spoken,
Not young, nor old —
No claims mistaken
No chances to be taken —
Not even tingling numbness wakes thee,
Nor eyes that do not see —
As the lips lie still of motion,
The heart finally succumbs
To all of life's commotion.
