I look at my mom as she told me the story about how she have to leave me and khai. She said that dad was crazy and wanted her to keep doing his dirty work by keeping getting these gang members in jail. One of the gang members told the King pin about my father wanted his dead and my mother.
{FLASHBACK}
Katie andTommy was on the couch watching TV when the doorbell rung. "I'ma get it"he put away the crack cocaine in the bag and hid it under the couch. "Sit right there"Katie nod her head and sat down on the spot where Tommy hid the cocaine at.
He went to the door looking in the peep hole. "Oh shit"he said loudly.
"What is it?"Katie ask.
"It's big dog and them"he was breathing heavily looking at the door. That's when the beating kept going on and and on.
"I have to get the kids"Katie got up and went to the back room. But she remember, her kids was at school. "Shit"
"Katie pack up the money"Tommy said. Just then the door bust open. Tommy look at the door seeing big buck, big dog, and big gun. All brothers. Mean as a bull.
"Tommy boy"big buck was the big brother. He was the one who runs the money. Big dog was the middle brother. He was the smartest. And big gun was the youngest. He love to fight. "Where my fucking money!"
"L-L-Look buck, I-I have the money right here man"Tommy showed him the bag of money but that wasn't the same amount of money tho. There was more.
"How much was in that bag buck?"big gun ask.
"There was 50k in that bag. Why it look like 20k in there Tommy?"big buck said.
"What you mean 20k? There was 20k in there when I got it"Tommy said.
"Tommy, we pack that money up last week and gave it to Reggie and tycoon"big dog said. "Stop fucking playing with us!"
"Look ,I'm sorry. But the NYPD stole half of it"Tommy said. "I'm telling the truth"
Katie look at big buck then back at Tommy. "Tell you what"big buck lit up his cigar. "Give me your wife, and I'll let this all go"
"My wife?"Tommy said.
"Wait what? I can't do that sir, I have kids"Katie said with tears in her eyes.
"Like I give a damn about those kids. Get your shit and let's go baby, your mines now"big buck smile at Katie.
"Tommy"Katie look at Tommy.
"Tommy what you say, let this all go or get kill by me or one of my men"big buck said.
"Tommy you really gone do this"Katie said. "I should of left your ass a long time ago, I see how you are"Katie cried.
"Let this all go"Tommy said.
"Nice choice. Grab her"big buck walk out the apartment. Katie was screaming and kicking at big gun. Big dog smiled at Tommy and close the door.
That day, the khai arrive at home from school. Kaven was by the next door neighbor. So when khai arrive home when Katie and Tommy wasn't here, he went to get kaven. Khai knew how to take care of himself. He fed kaven and himself by stealing food from the stores.
But he didn't know that Tommy left 10k on the dresser for the kids. When khai discover it, he spent it on food, clothes, and some books for school. But money went short and they was put out.
Year later when khai was 7 and kaven was 4 big dog discover them and took them in. He started up his own gang. But when big buck discover that, he killed his own brother.
On the other hand, Katie became pregnant for big buck and got married. They move to Mexico while Tommy stayed in New Jersey.
Big buck died in Mexico from breaking his spinal cord. Katie had to leave Mexico and look for her kids. She couldn't find them in New York but was reunited with her real husband Tommy.
{FLASHBACK OVER}
"Hey kids"I heard my father voice. Khai look over at him and rolled his eyes.
"Fuck this nigga want?"he ask my mom. My dad took his gloves and smack khai head causing him to yelled. "Damn that hurted"
"Then don't call me just some nigga, I'm the one who gave you roof over your head when you ole lady kick you out her house"my dad said. "And you, you ran off and didn't tell me"he said to me.
"I'm sorry dad"I mumble.
"You told them"he look up at my mom.
"Yeah, every single thing"she said. "But you need to apologize to them"
"About?"he said.
"Leaving them all alone at that apartment"my mom had tears falling down from her eyes.
"It's okay ma, we took care of ourselves"khai said.
"And I'm glad you did baby"she sniffle then hug him. "I'm waiting Tommy"
"I'm sorry kids that left y'all and wasn't a good father at all. I couldn't take care of y'all, I was on that stuff bad. But I regret what I did"my dad said. "Please forgive me babygirl and son"
"I forgive you"I said.
"Me too"khai said.
"What about you Katie?"he smiled at my mom.
"I forgive you too"she smile back. He got up and gave her a kiss on the lips. The hug for a while. My family is back.
