a couple of weeks later
sean tosses to the other side of his bed and cautiously reaches for his phone. he turns his head to his side, looking at the sleeping vyo next to him.
he lowers the brightness on his phone and stares at the text messages he received from mia.

so when today, the said tuesday, had arrived, he still hadn't replied even though he wasn't so sure why. he thought maybe he wasn't ready or maybe he just wanted to close that chapter of his life, because deep down he knew there was just a feeling he couldn't shake.
it'd been three weeks since sean had seen mia and julian back at the restaurant. when he didn't receive a message from her within a few days, he had assumed he was in the clear. and he was doing just fine within those three weeks. he had been spending more and more time with vyo, and they just seemed to click.
"why did you have to come back into my life?" he groans, causing vyo to toss and turn in her sleep.
"sorry, did i wake you?" he whispers as he peers over her.
"no," she says groggily and rubs her eyes. "what time is it?"
"uh," he glances back to his phone,quickly exiting out of his messages app. "6:53 am."
"why'd you wake up so early?" she says as tugs the blanket closer to her. "nervous about the internship?"
"y-yeah," he lies, only now remembering today was his first day at his film internship. "that's exactly it."
"you're acting weird again," she frowns as she watches sean pull the covers off himself and sit at the edge of the bed.
"it's nothing," he says despite not making eye contact with her. "you know how i am when i get nervous...it's just the internship and all." he gets up and starts to walk towards the door before vyo calls his attention back.
"you wanna talk about it? come on, just stay here for a bit," she taps on the bed and gives him a smile. "your internship starts in two hours anyways."
