ELLIE's POV

I didn't mean to judge him but he looked like a womanizer. Not because he was handsome and rich but because of the way he's smiling at me flirtatiously. I knew that kind of look. In my job, I encounter different kinds of guys everyday. Some of them are nice and friendly but a lot of them are typical playboys which I hate the most.

"It's a pleasure to meet a beautiful woman like you, Ms. Novell" I wanted to roll my eyes because of the way he said that. He was obviously starting to sound flirty. I was right. He's a Casanova just like other handsome rich men out there. I faked a smile and then pulled my hand from his grip.

"Thank you" I managed to answer with an overrated smile after I pulled my hand from him.

"So, where are your parents, Mr. Montaño? I was even expecting them to attend this party because we have an important business matter to discuss to" Mr. Montaño raked his hand through his hair as his jaw tightened. An unknown emotion passed through his graphite-grey eyes. But it was just for a second because his expression changed right away and then he gave us a lopsided grin.

He has this mysterious aura even though he smiles a lot.

"About that, they asked me to attend the party on their stead because they have an urgent matter to attend to in Greece. I hope you understand, Mr. Novell" My grandfather sighed and then nodded his head.

"I understand. Let's talk about it later then. Enjoy our celebration party, Mr. Montaño" He nodded.

"I need to talk to Mr. Javier for a minute, Ellie. I'll leave Mr. Montaño to you" I wanted to protest but he already left us. I cursed under my breath. Then I suddenly remembered someone. I looked around us and searched for him through the crowd but to my disappointment, I didn't see him. I heaved a sigh when I remembered our argument the other day. I suddenly felt down.

"You suddenly look sad" My eyes went to Mr. Montaño's face. He was looking at me with his eye brow cocked up.

"No, I'm not. I just remembered something" I said and then looked at the dance floor where people were dancing. Everyone was obviously having fun. Most of them were the children of the workers at the ranch. I watched them with amusement. Then my eyes caught a girl around my age who went to the dance floor with a man. They were happily talking to one another as they started dancing. They were even laughing and obviously enjoying each other's company.

The girl was familiar and if my memory serves me right, she's the daughter of one of the workers in the farm. I remembered my grandfather talking about her one time because he was very impressed by her. Her name is Sabina which I find it very weird. According to him, she is an intelligent girl that's why he gave her a scholarship in college.

"Do you want to dance, Ms. Novell?" I looked at Mr. Montaño again and I was surprise to see the rage in his eyes as he looked at the two people whom I was staring at a while ago. His jaw was obviously clenching tightly and I knew in an instant that he's jealous.

I knew that look because I see it everytime Rex is jealous to someone. Well, I wasn't sure though. Maybe he's just pissed off and bored.

"Sure" I agreed, suddenly curious if he knew the girl or not. Later on, we were already on the dance floor, next to that pair.

While dancing, Mr. Montaño's attention was to the pair next to us. I shook my head and just went along with the situation without asking anything even though I wanted to ask him if he's courting that girl or what. But then, I chose not to get involve.
