ELLIE's POV

Two weeks flew by so quickly but it felt like I wasn't having a good time that much lately because I've been doing nothing than staying inside the house during the afternoon and if my grandfather has meetings, I accompany him. Whenever he goes out the ranch, I would go with him even though it was boring because it's all about business.

I've been doing that in order to get away from Rex. Though, every morning, I ride my horse but I don't go to the waterfalls anymore. I just let Carême run around the meadow near the farm and to my irritation, Rex is always behind me when I'm not at home. Because Rex doesn't know how to ride a horse, he always uses the motorcycle that my grandfather gave him in order to use it for following me wherever I go and as the days go by, I'm getting more vexed of my situation.

Rex and I had been very civil towards each other these past two weeks. There were times that Rex tried to talk to me but I just answered him with monosyllables and he was obviously getting irritated about it. I noticed that whenever I do that to him, he becomes quiet while clenching his jaw which I secretly enjoyed watching. The first days that we spent together, he was always the one who was teasing me and made me irritated but now, seeing him getting annoyed at me gave me delight.

I know it's kinda rude and childish at the same time but I wanted to distance myself from him as far as possible and because I couldn't do that for now, I was giving him cold shoulders to let him know that I don't want to talk to him and it's effective. He got quieter and I felt relieved about that.

But truth to be told, I was avoiding him because I didn't want to feel those weird feelings anymore whenever we're together. Just by talking to him and listening to the way he talks to me was making my mind go crazy and I'm afraid to discover what else his effect on me if we would spend more time together.

I know it's crazy but those bizarre feelings were making me confused and I hate it. I don't want to give him the idea that he has the strong effect on me. No way!

I heaved a sigh and then decided to get out of my bed. It's still early and a little bit dark because the sun haven't risen up yet but this was what I've planned last night.

I've been itching to go to the waterfalls but I couldn't go there because I knew Rex would go with me. I already told him many times to just concentrate on his work in the ranch rather than keep on following me everywhere I go but he never listened to me. Of course, he already told me that he would never follow my instructions because I'm not his boss and that always made me vexed.

Whenever I go to the waterfalls, I always like to take a dip. The warm water of the river was perfect for the hot summer season.

The waterfalls was a little bit far from the house but I always enjoy going there. The view always makes me calm and feel relaxed.

I love there because the workers seldom goes there for a simple reason that it's a drag walking that far and they're always busy with their works too. Actually, there's nothing there other than a stunning scenery and peace but for me, that place is very special.

My family used to go there and have a picnic whenever we're here when I was younger. Those happy memories were one of the things that I hold dear in my heart and would never forget about.
