N. Hanson's Point of View"Oh come on Naomi! You gotta dance, it's homecoming! One dance! Please!" Bryce whined, holding my hand in his and kissing it. Butterflies fluttered around in my stomach, I groaned, "Bryce!"
Bryce smiled, "Please. For me?" I groaned a little and let my head fall down. I smiled shyly at him, "Okay! Okay! For you!" I exclaimed.
Bryce's smile grew and he jumped up happily, "Yes!" He cheered, still holding my hand and running out to the dance floor. Bryce grabbed my hands and placed them around his neck. He moved his hands down to my waist, resting his forehead in mine.
"It's not a slow song." I spoke softly, smiling up at Bryce. Bryce shrugged a little and let out a chuckle, "I know, I figure it's more romantic this way." I raised a brow at him, "Ooh. Romantic?"
Bryce bit down on his bottom lip, "Yes, romantic. I'm a fan of the romance." I smiled up at him, I like him so so much. So much that it makes my heart hurt.
The song quickly ended, Bryce and I walked back to our table. I sat down and smiled over at Bryce. He smiled back, "Want me to get you some punch?" He asked. He's so considerate. So sweet. He cares so much. And god, that makes me feel some type of way.
I nodded slowly, "Yeah, that'd be nice. Thanks." I smiled, my hand brushing his. Bryce nodded, "Anything for you m'lady. I'll be right back." Bryce assured me, standing up from the table and walking away. He turned back to me and smiled, I held up my hand and waved at him.
I watched as Bryce walked over to the table, but my view was blocked by a bright pink dress and a few more dresses with bright color. Ones that blinded my eyes. Hell, they stood out more than the bright lights. looked up to see Sarah's face, "May I help you?"
Sarah folded her arms across her chest and stared down at me, "You could never help me." Her group of friends laughed. I raised a brow, "What exactly are you trying to get at Sarah? Either you're going to spit it out or walk away." I bluntly stated, glaring up at her.
"You know, I'm not even upset about Bryce and I taking a break. Because just seeing this pathetic mess makes me feel amazing!" She laughed, her friends laughing along as well. They're like robots who just follow what she does.
I scoffed a little, "Pathetic mess?" I questioned. Sarah laughed, "Yeah, pathetic mess. You know, since you.. 'like girls' and you're 'mute' and look 'plain a.k.a. not pretty whatsoever.'" She spoke harshly. I laughed, "Thats just about as ridiculous as your life."
Sarah was taken aback at first before licking her lips, "Well that's not what Bryce thinks." As the words fell from her lips, my heart sunk into my stomach.
"What?" I questioned. Sarah smirked, "Where do you think I heard this from? And where everyone else in the school heard it from?"
I tuned my head, looking at Bryce. His face sunk, his lips pursed together and his eyes soft with sympathy. Oh my god, I think to myself, becoming sick to my stomach.
Bryce's eyes met mine, he clenched his jaw. I began to hyperventilate, my eyes watered, my heart pounding in my chest, my hands shaking as they grew sweaty and my stomach ached.
Dear god, he said that?
