Wren's P. O. V.
Jack and I had gotten up early the next morning. We started packing our bags and getting ready for the flight. I was moving around slowly, due to my excruciating headache. The last thing I wanted to do was get on a plane, but I wanted to go with Jack.
"Babe are you okay?" He asked when I sat on the bed holding my head. I thought he had gone into the bathroom.
"Huh? Oh, I'm fine. Just a small headache."
"Wren if you don't think you can fly we can stay here."
"You need to see your family. We can go."
"You look like you're in so much pain, baby." He sat next to me and cradled me in his arms. "We can go another time."
"No Jack, I don't want to keep you from your family. I can fly," I said. My voice cracked and tears spilled from my eyes from the pain.
"We're not going, it's too much for you."
"No, Jack please. I want you to see your family. I don't have to go, but please don't out me between you and your family."
"I can't leave you here alone," he said.
"Daniel's family lives pretty close. I can stay with him until you get back."
"Are you sure Wren? I don't want you to do something if you don't want to."
"Honestly I really don't want to get on a plane right now," I whispered. He softly kissed my head. "Finish packing, you don't want to miss your flight."
I took some pain medication then rested on Jack's bed. Every now and then Jack would come by and kiss me, telling me he loves me and that he'll miss me. When he finished packing, Jonah and I went with him to the airport.
"I'll be back next week," he promised. We were waiting for his flight in a Starbucks. He sat with his arm around me, Jonah sitting across from us.
"I'll be fine Jack, don't worry about me."
"If anything happens, call me and I'll fly home," he said.
"I'll be fine." I leaned in and kissed his lips. A few fans walked up so Jack stood up and took pictures with them and Jonah. I sat there drinking my coffee, absentmindedly smiling as Jack interacted with his fans. A few talked to me, but Jack explained I wasn't feeling well. They said they hoped I felt better, then left me alone.
Jack's flight was called so the fans left. I stood up and walked towards Jack. He took my hands and pulled me into his chest, hugging me tight, then kissed the top of my head. I smiled into his chest. I didn't want to ever let go.
"I love you," he whispered into my ear. I pulled away and put my lips on his. It started to get heated, then we remembered we were in an airport surrounded by fans. I pulled away, blushing, then hugged Jack again.
He hugged Jonah and waved goodbye to the group of fans before walking off to board his plane. Jonah stood next to me and gave me a hug. We said our goodbyes to the fans, then left the airport.
"When are you and the others leaving?" I asked. Jonah and I got into the car.
"I think we're all leaving sometime today. I'm not sure about Daniel, though."
"Okay."
The rest of the ride was silent, except for Jonah's never ending playlist of Camila Cabello. We finally got back to the house. I walked up to me and Jack's room and put on one of his sweatshirts, already missing his presence. Since I moved in with Jack, David let the guys use one more room. Jack and I shared, Daniel and Corbyn shared, and Zach and Jonah shared.
"Wren, we're leaving. Daniel's in his room if you need anything," Zach said a few hours later. The three guys came and hugged me before leaving the house. Although the quietness helped my headache, it was weird and I didn't like it.
I slowly sat up, then stood up. I grabbed my phone and walks over to Daniel's room.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" He asked.
"Lonely," I chuckled.
"I meant your head," he laughed.
"Better. I wish I would've felt up to flying. I really wanted to get to know his family better. And I wanted to get away from here for a while."
"I know the feeling. I miss my home sometimes. And not the new home in L. A."
"Are you going to see them?" I asked.
"Yeah I'll probably go everyday, but I'll just come back here. No reason to make it more crowded there."
"Yeah, just let me know when you're gone. I don't want to be looking for you and you're not here," I laughed.
"You can come with me if you want. I'm sure Anna would love to meet you," he said.
"Yeah, that'd be fun."
"Cool."
"So, what are you playing?" I asked noticing the music sheet next to him.
"Oh nothing, just messing around," he smiled.
"Play something." He turned away and starting playing something on the piano. I didn't recognize it for a second, but then it clicked. Youth by Troye Sivan.
He started singing and it was like he forgot I was there. He started signing his own lyrics and just put his whole heart into it. I listened intently to every word he sang and every key he played.
"That was amazing," I said to him when he finished.
"Thanks. I get lost sometimes and I just keep going and going."
We talked for a while about music and then we got into my art and photography. I really clicked with Daniel. We both had so much passion and we just wanted to do the most with our lives. I really liked him, in a friend way obviously.
Jack called me so I left Daniel's room yo answer.
"Hey, I just landed," he said.
"How was the flight?"
"Fine. The guy next to me had a service dog so the whole time she was laying in our laps wanting attention," he laughed.
"That's cute."
"Yeah. How are you feeling?"
"Fine. My headaches haven't been that bad this afternoon, but I've been really tired and I get dizzy if I stand up."
"Just try to rest as much as you can. I'm sure Daniel wouldn't mind waiting on you at all. Just stay in bed if you can."
"I'll try. I don't know if I can stay in one spot for so long."
"I'm getting into an uber now so I'm gonna have to go but I'll call you tonight. I hope you feel better. I love you babe."
"I love you too. Bye." I hung up and sat on my bed.
I couldn't really do anything except lay in bed. This is a time where I wished I had more friends. The only friends I had were the guys and Charlie. And it'd be kind if weird to invite him over if I wasn't talking to Em. I wasn't even supposed to think, so I didn't want Em to even enter my mind.
I decided that if I couldn't do anything, I'd just sleep. I took my pants, shirt, and bra off sleeping in just my underwear and Jack's sweatshirt. I got under the covers and closed my eyes, quickly falling asleep.
