Daniel's P. O. V.

Well shit.

Everything was perfectly fine. Wren was happy with Jack. I was happy being single. Wren and I were friends. Just friends.

Until that moment. It ruined everything. I couldn't look at Wren the same anymore. Now every time I saw her all that I could think about was that one moment.

I was holding her in my arms and when she smiled at me, the world stopped. I wanted so badly to kiss her, but then Jack brought me back into reality. Wren didn't feel that way towards me, and I hated myself for feeling that way towards her.

I tried so hard to shake my feelings, but they wouldn't go away. She was so beautiful and just perfect. I mentally slapped myself every time I thought that, but it wasn't working.

I don't know how I was gonna forget about Wren, but I had to do it. She was with Jack and I'd never purposely do anything to get between them. They made each other so happy.

Wren's P. O. V.

I couldn't stop thinking about that moment Daniel and I had. I don't even know if he leaned in on purpose or what. He might've been struggling to hold me up and he was falling.

I had come up with so many excuses in my head, trying to not think about the possibility of Daniel purposely trying to kiss me. He couldn't have. There's no way.

It was better for me to think that and just forget it ever happened. I didn't need the stress of Daniel on top of everything going on.

"Jack, we're gonna have to fly to New Jersey this weekend for Em's funeral," I said. Jack had just gotten out of the shower. He was putting on clothes and I was sitting at my desk, working on Em's slide show for the funeral.

"I thought she was being buried with your mom, why would the funeral be in Jersey?" He asked.

"I want her to be buried there, but they're the ones paying. They want her buried in the graveyard that my great grandparents were buried in."

"But you're the one who's in charge of everything."

"But they're paying. Jack it's fine."

"No it's not fine. Your mom and Em would both wanted her to be buried with your mom. You need to talk to them."

"I don't want to cause problems, Jack."

"You're not causing problems."

"I am, because then they have to fly out and Naomi has five kids."

"We basically have five kids. And it's not like flying is a money issue. Just call them."

"Fine. But it's like three in the morning there, so I'll call them tomorrow."

"Good. Now come get in bed, I want to cuddle," he said. I laughed at him before jumping onto the bed.

I fell back on the bed and he immediately latched onto me like a sloth.

"Are you okay?" I asked, laughing.

"I'm fine, I just want to hold you," he said, his voice muffled from his face being in my boobs.

"Okay," I laughed. I ran my hands through his hair until we both fell asleep.

"Hey Grandma," I said through the phone.

"Hi Wren, how are you?"

"I'm good, how are you?"

"I'm great. So what's up?"

"I wanted to talk to you about the funeral." I looked at Jack, who was sitting in front of me on our bed. He nodded his head, urging me to continue.

"What's wrong sweetie?"

"Em and I always said that when we passed, we wanted to be buried next to my mom. She's buried in San Diego, but you have Em being buried in Jersey."

"Well that's where your great grandparents were buried."

"Yes, I know. But it's what Em would've wanted. And my mom. Is it too late to change it?" She sighed and I knew I had upset her. "I'm sorry-"

"No, I understand. I just wished that your mom had told us she was sick. We would've had her buried here."

"Yeah, I'm sorry about that."

"It's okay, dear."

"So can we move the funeral to San Diego?"

"Sure. I'll talk to Naomi and we'll sort everything out."

"Thank you so much, Grandma."

"Of course honey." We said goodbye and we hung up, then I let out a huge breath.

"See? How hard was that?" I just roles my eyes at him.

"Boys! I need you out here now!" We heard David's voice come from the living room. I threw one of Jack's sweaters over my sports bra and walked out with Jack.

"What's up David?" Jonah asked. The guys had all come out of their rooms and sat on the couch.

"I have good news."

"What's up?"

"You guys are performing for the Billboard Music Awards!" He exclaimed.

"What?" All of the guys were shocked and excited.

"When is it?" Jack asked in the midst of the excitement.

"This Saturday," he said with a smile. My smile faltered, but I shook it off putting a smile back on my face.

The guys continued to celebrate and David told is all to be ready for dinner after that night to celebrate. Jack and I went back to our room.

"This is crazy!" Jack exclaimed.

"Congrats!" I said with an empty smile. Jack took notice.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing it's just that Saturday is when the funeral is," I said.

"Oh Wren, I'm so sorry," he pulled me into a hug.

"It's fine, I'll be fine."

"No, it's not fine. I'll figure something out, I promise."

"No Jack don't worry about it. My family will be there, I'll be fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, Jack." I gave him a soft smile trying to convince him I'd be fine.

"I'm really sorry."

"Don't be. You need to focus on the incredible opportunity that you have in front of you."

"Yeah, you're right," he admitted.

"Of course I am," I smiled. Jack smiled back, sliding his hands around my waist, and kissing me.
